That canoe and the congress are from the Queen work horse line, bought by the bride for Christmas presents. Bought from ecop a few years ago I don't think they have any listed now, new Queens are getting harder to find.

One is right, makes it so thin I can't believe it's 2 blade. Bolsters and scales are flat not round, so it keeps it suprisingly thin. Spring is large, thick as the main tang and strong snap. Also there is a spacer or whatever on the secondary so even though the whole spring is riding on the wharn secondary, only about half or so is exposed on the end of the knife and the slot the secondary tang slides into as it opens gets more narrow as it approaches fully open before meeting the spring. Makes for rock solid lock up, zero wobble and you would think it's fixed it's so solid. Never had a lock up like this and I love it They should do this on all their opposite end 2 blades. Very strong. Less exposed tang to pick up lint and garbage too. Love those features. If I had known this knife was so cool I would have hunted them harder long ago.

Since I didn't work today i chose these.

Thin even with the spacer,nice I-man i checked my pen knives non have the spacer on the small blade

I toted my big ol XX 6375. This ol wore out thing really holds an edge.

I enjoy smooth wood covers which is probably a major reason I like this Imperial Barlow. Lots of snap; good fit, pins a little high but they look good.

Made a bow saw today to go with my carving kit

ZED, some things are so practical that they need no change. That bow saw looks good. You will enjoy it every time you use it.

This Chute knife is on my belt today, made for me by Neil Schutte of South Africa. Neil nails his grinds, Bohler N690. Headed out with my ladies on the homestead to find a Christmas tree, saw in hand. Have a great day folks!

Using what I consider sort of a classic Schrade Barlow. Planning on concentrating on Barlows for a few days.
