The postal carrier rings my doorbell when I have a package in an attempt to not have a repeat visit from one of the porch shoppers. When it rang today, I was confused because there wasn't anything expected until sometime next week but lo and behold, there was a package addressed to me. You could have knocked my socks off with a feather when I saw the return address. It was from ~Q~. I opened it up and almost went into shock. He sent me a 2013 Case Select Mini-Trapper 07W with brick red handles. It's dark and dreary here today so this picture sucks but it will have to do until later when the sun shines. The knife is just bloody gorgeous. Holy sheepshanks, is it a beauty. All I can say is thank you ~Q~. You killed it buddy.

From a guy you like, a knife you like and a really beautiful knife as well. Those handles are hot coals right out of the forge. Boy they are bright. Good for you Jerry and good of you Q. All during the right time of the year for such things. Excellent.

I can't wait until tomorrow when I can get a better picture. This bad boy is fantastic. I'll never understand why ~Q~ let it go but I'm glad he did.

In fact, it was just the opposite: I saw it come up for sale on eBay and not getting any bids. Even though I already have one of my own (in my permanent collection), I just couldn't let this one get away because SELECT 07Ws aren't especially common (I'm only aware of the Bermuda Green and the Brick Red, and I know you already have the BG). So, it's an uncommon knife for an uncommonly worthy friend--Win Win.

You're right. I do have the green one. I had to go look to verify that because it was a vague memory rattling around in my brain cage and once I looked it up I went "Oh yeah. There it is." I tell ya ~Q~. You have me all discombobulated and I don't know how to properly thank you. It was a pleasant surprise and I appreciate it.

'Tis the season...for BOMBING, apparently.

Yesterday I went up to the PO and opened my box and what to my wondering eyes should appear but this miniature trapper and eight tiny reindeer. OK, there weren't really any reindeer, but just look at this 2019 Case Burnt Gray Bone 6207 Mini Trapper that actually was there! The only clue as to it's point of origin was a return address for a knife company located in Virginia...and unless this company was suddenly overcome with Christmas Spirit and giving knives away for free to total strangers, I have to assume this BOMB was dropped on me by a Secret Santa. Perhaps Stealth Santa is more accurate as this BOMB came unexpectedly out of the clear blue and the identity of the bomber is a total mystery.

Thank you anonymous bomber. 'Tis a most generous and gracious gift, indeed, and a wonderful surprise. I will gush on about this knife in the 07 thread (and see how many more times I can use '"Tis" in a single post).

Congratulations ~Q~. You're one of those guys that deserves what you get. The bomber must be a bit of a swell fella (or gal) as well. Generosity begets generosity.

Still recuperating from a Naval strafing run against Starvation Plantation! Seems David (aka dlr110) directed the strike from way out yonder in Ponder, Texas. His bombing run dropped a French Laguiole knife, a USS Constellation commemorative coin and a much appreciated note on us today!

Phillip, the Laguiole's are a great knife and I wish I had more but they're too expensive to get too involved with them. Congratulations.

Philip I'm glad you like it and I'm glad I was able to surprise you, it got there a couple of days faster than I thought. I've been waiting 7 to 10 days for things in the mail. Tis the season I guess, anyway happy holidays.

Congrats Q & treefarmer!!! That's very generous of the bombers!

A suspicious package arrived at my house on Saturday. Had no idea that I had been bombed! Inside the box were a money clip/knife made by Zippo (which eerily has my name engraved on it), small Buffalo Bills helmet and a braided parachute cord for your keyring. Today is my birthday and Christmas two days away the timing was perfect! Thank You Triple F, you are so generous ! Would like to thank your Co-pilot who helped with this mission, TPK.

Yes today is actually my BD. And I am a Buffalo Bills fan also. As I have stated before the folks here on AAPK are the best!
