Is that by chance a kitchen knife? It reminds me of one that I had years ago. I don't recall what name if any it had, but I wouldn't have know what a Primble was at the time.

Here's mine, a beautiful Case limited issue stag canoe. FF was poor, with the main so askew it wouldn't close properly. Case fixed her right up.

Yeap it's a big ol' carbon steel butcher knife ,gets razor sharp quick, makes a good camp knife..

Today I'm carrying this Ulster Scout.

I've been all about this 47 HP stockman lately (circa 1980). Nice and tight, great snap all around, nice bone. This knife was rough when I found it - lousey pictures, grimy, basically not used much, but not taken care of either ... so I took a chance & got it on the cheap. After some elbow grease, fully Lansky treatment and time on the buffing wheel, it came out darn spiffy.

I'm always particularly fond of knives that I get deals on & they can be brought back to exceed my expectations ...

Carrying it again today. It is uniquely qualified for the day's tasks with it's big, broad, and comically-sharp clip blade so it gets another ride this morning.

I like it !! I have a big sabre barlow, but mine is the plastic,not even sure its derlin , cheap. Handle, and I know some of the wonderful high brow collectors would probally grimace, but I have a lot of Japan Sabres in, varying degrees of assembly quality, but one thing they all share is excellent carbon steel, but I won't say it in an open post....still trying to get the tomatoes out of my phone for speaking up on badger and blade.. lol..that knife really does have a great (forgive me) raw look, Tony,it means bussiness!!

Removed this Canoe from my collection because it is celluloid. But can now use it today and otherwise will keep it segregated.
