Got these in, an A.G. Russell made in Seki Japan. Black Micarta handles. Marbles MSA designed by Dave Shirley of Northwoods an English Jack in stag. A Seki Made Paragon knife designed by Tommy Lee. Cocobolo handles and stainless throughout. Check out the run up on this, the blade and backspring look like one piece of metal. This one is “scary sharp”.

Very, Very nice pick-ups Sharpnshinyknives.
Here is what the Ponder Country Post Rider brought me today.
These are not normally the type of knife I collect, but I had a
weak moment.

Mark, that Marbles is a hair of a nice knife but just a tad short to be an English Jack. EJ's are typically 4½" closed.

I was unaware of that fact. Now I have learned something new today.
The seller described it as an English Jack, but it does look too short to be one. Is this a Torpedo Jack, Cigar Jack, or what would you call it?

Well, if you held my feet to the fire, I'd just call it a "Jack Knife" but that's just me. I suppose you could call it an "Equal-End Jack". What ever suites you just tickles me pink.

This afternoon, my trip to the post office produced these three knives. An EAGLE KNIFE CO, single blade pocket knife. A CRAFTSMAN 9494, 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. A SCHRADE WALDEN 863 (not stamped or marked 863), 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. It has CRAFTSMAN 9494 etched on the main blade. The EAGLE KNIFE CO knife needed a little cleaning, the other two knives didn't. I took some pictures, here are the knives.

The United States Postal Service delivered this cute little black box to my door yesterday. As there had been no recent plane crashes in the area I opened it to reveal a little Hubertus springer purchased from our own WackyAAPKMan's store. Springers bring out the little boy in me and especially springers with file work,
so money well spent. Thanks David.
