The Great Eastern Rendezvous was good for picking up some very nice vintage knives also. Picked up these 2 Schrade Cut Co's, a 3 1/4" pick bone sheepsfoot jack and a trapper with a corset shield, not as common as the ones with other shields. Both knives in very good condition
Beautiful Knives John!

Congrats!

Thats a nice knife Tom. Beautiful pickups JohnR. Rescued this Cutco, blades were put up wet and required a lot of cleanup. Handles are good shape though.

ld64, looking good! Those peach seed jigged bone handles look pristine and show little if any use

That folder like you said was probably carried once and put away wet

My latest oldie is an early 1980s knife built on a much older Schrade Cut Co skeleton. Schrade had a few of these Cut-Co-days 2-1/4" coffin-pattern (lobster) skeletons in storage. They worked with the Shaw-Leibowitz team to create these fine little knives.
I'd say this qualifies as one of the finest Schrade's I own. I purchased it from Charlie (he started this thread) who owned it for many years. It won't be escaping my grasp any time soon.

Thanks Charlie!
My example is #43

I don't think I've posted these Schrades here that were in the collection of Camillus president Nilo Miori, but then again I can't find my car keys and wallet most days.

The 2623 swell-centre with the bow-tie shield really works for me. Outstanding group of old Schrade knives! Interesting back-story too.

Real beauties! Congratulations!

Knives like these, even used knives like these are what keeps me from being interested in the new knives available today.

Thanks guys. I only recently started buying older Schrades after carrying a few Old Timers through the years. I guess I have the peach seed fever now.

Old Timers are great, too. I would say that most any Schrade that was made in the USA has a place in my collection. The three you showed are incredibly nce!

Thanks. I agree about the Old Timers. I still have one that a local bank gave my dad years ago, and they were always in a local hardware store display back in the day.
