I'm back with a couple more nice little XXs that I happened upon. I love them older case xx and I love to carry the different patterns and see which one I like best. I must say that I prefer from an 08 pattern and smaller, they just fit your pocket so well. I think a comfortable pocket carry is one that you have to feel for twice just to make sure you have it.

Ken you must have loose fitting pants and some suspenders if you are carrying all that. Had a 14 in .223 Thompson back when a box of 20 was $2.50. But I never carried it. Seriously, good looking knives.

I had no idea that sweet 85 was a liner lock, I-Man. How's the thickness with the extra layer of metal?

Well I like a thin knife, and the ones with no liner are that. But this one isn't much thicker, isn't much heavier, and has the perfect size and heft for me. I like it as well or better than the no lock version. The lock is tight and no wobble, best lock mechanism I've had from GEC anything.

I'm carrying an old Cold Steel Trapper. She doesn't look pretty but she cuts like a son of a gun.

She ain't ugly. I didn't know cold steel made traditional folders.

Cold Steel goes in and out of traditional pocket knives. Mine is from around 2000. These were modestly priced with good carbon steel blades. They disappeared and then not too long ago they offered some pricier traditionals. But their current catalog doesn't show any.Of course if you ever need a traditional spear CS can accomodate you.

QS something else to watch for. Now as far as the spear goes...….don't get me started down another path.
