I hadn’t seen that handle on the Boker’s before. Pretty sure that one you have is assembled in Germany but the parts are made elsewhere. The tell on this is that it isn’t marked Solingen Germany on the blades just Boker. I own some of these and think a lot of them. They have the same lifetime warranty as any Boker knife and the fit and finish is very good. I like the color on this, that’s an unusual color.

Good looking knives everyone! Here is a Remington leg knife I just purchased on eBay… I didn’t pay too much for it… There’s no other markings on the tang besides what’s in the picture ..does anyone know when this was made( and by who)? I’m thinking maybe in the 80s?

Looks like those handles are gassing.

Espn77– Help me out— what makes you suspect that because I’m not an expert on celluloid and outgassing and in person they look fine to me . I do keep the few Celluloid handled knives I have separate from my others ..And I didn’t think this was celluloid so shows what I know LOL

Here’s two better pictures..I believe they are composite not celluloid..The bolsters are rubbed rough on the one side from possibly sitting in somebody’s cupholder in a vehicle from vibration or something to that effect… Other than that it looks pretty clean

Edit—I was wrong again ESPN 77! You were right it wiped off pretty easily with a rust eraser!… Dammit I thought they were composite LOL thank you or I never would’ve looked that hard!

Can you measure the closed length of the small Queen knife?
Something I noticed, does that knife have only one back spring? If it does opening both blades to only half way may put undue stress on the spring. Sometimes that will actually break the spring. Opened all the way is fine with one half way as the fully opened blade allows the spring to be at rest just as when they are in the closed position.

Thanks Skip! Do you know anything about that tang stamp?… That’s the only thing on the blade either side… Doesn’t say where it’s made or anything… I read somewhere that it was probably made in the 80s and in the United States ..it’s well-built..

No, I don't know anything about that tang stamp or that knife style. You might get the answers you seek in the Remington Forum.

That dark discoloration on the foot and the upper bolster is caused from the celluloid handles releasing gass. It looks to be in the early stages and will come off easily, but will return in time. Your knife is definitely modern. I dont know much about the modern knives so I'll let someone else educate you on when it was made. Be careful with this knife as it will hurt other knives it will be around.

I picked this up today. I am more than pleased with it. I wouldn't be wrong saying that it's in mint condition. The only tang stamp says ROSTFREI (I know what it means). I do not care what the country of origin is. Here are some pictures.

Thank you for the info… I understand what you’re saying but I don’t believe this is the case as I also do believe the handles are composite..(I know a little bit about knives)… plus the discoloration is from rubbing in a cup holder or another situation like that(with that same side down for a long period of time, I’ve done it myself many times with other things besides knives and knives) as I’ve done to many of my knives over the years.. I guess you can’t see in pictures what you can see in hand.. all good … I was just concerned that you seen something that I missedt I’ll keep an eye on it tho. And separate..

Some times, no, most times, when trying to properly identify the older Queens, I run into problems that keep multiplying when looking at the old catalogs. I have a #3 Sleeveboard on my desk, it is 3 5/16" but it has a clip blade as a main blade. The 1952 Queen catalog show the same knife, on the same page is a #4, same knife but with MOP handles. So here is the bump in the road: your knife appears to be 3 5/16" but both blades are pen blades. Also from the picture it appears an equal end pattern. Digging a bit deeper I have found a #21 called a "Spear point pen pattern" in the '52 catalog. This may be your knife.

By golly...I think you've got it!
I was able to find the reference, went back and re-measured the main blade and it's 2" as shown.
Can't thank you enough my friend, I'm very happy now I know for the most part what I have. Appreciate your help once again
