That Barlow is a stunner, I-Man. I take it the bones aren't original. Did that start out life as a Barlow?

AAPK 35 Churchill and a Case 62005R Barlow. I've got a few of the 05s with the stepped bolsters but I like the lines of the smooth bolsters on the 005s a little more. This is one of my favorite knives for chicken fingerin'.

Thanks TR, that was at my request. I also had Johnny do hidden pins, which is not easy.

Montanaman, I would be interested in your opinion of the Puma particularly as to its balance. I've never held one of the large Pumas but they always appeared to me as though not so well balanced. Probably an optical illusion. Obviously one must hold one to judge.

Montanaman that is a great looking Puma. It fits your environment. The Boker has some great looking scales on it. Today must be German day. ::tu:: ::tu::

It is well balanced, it has a thin grind and the balance point is right at the guard. A nice knife with thick Sambar stag, there is also a slight taper to the tang, which is impressive for 1967. I carry many bowies and they are my preferred carry.

Thanks Doglegg ::tu::

No dog it had a company logo on and I didn't care for it so I sanded it off and put some Formbys on it. Brought the grain out pretty good. ::handshake::

I think that's a yes on the Camillus. I believe that's one of the stamps they used and I recognize that aged faux-stag composition (and shield).

Love those K-Ting Rope 163s. Your treatment has some impressive results, though! I think one of mine was once an advertising knife but the advertising just plain wore off.

Did that blade start out with the Wonda-Edge serration or was it always plain edge? I haven't gotten my hands on a factory plain edge as of yet.

Tony I don't know, I got it off the bay, if I remember right the seller worked for the company whose logo was on it and used the knife in his job. The logo was mostly wore off this one, gold coloring of some sort. ::shrug::

Rope knife is cool Bighomer, great one.
DM11 great pattern I'm learning.
Sunknife, love the Russell sawcut bone color, that's sweet. And that Appaloosa bone on the other is pretty cool too.
