as suggested I turned a badly damaged Griffon table meat carving knife into a Warncliffe knife and can be used for wood carving. The sleeve is for a Maglite flashlight. cutting edge is 3 inches.

Sweet wharncliffe mod mrwatch. Very nice. Sasquach, love the camo wrap, way better than the bright orange. Knifeknut, that's a cool piece, looks straight out of Nazi Germany. Love the knives from that era.

The neatest gadget has to be the folding slingshot.The sheath is the bottom of the Y shape and the pouch helps hold the blade in place.Too bad they didn't leave room in the handle for some ammo(ball bearings)for the sling shot.Maybe I'll ditch the first aid kit and put some in. I'm a lousy fisherman anyway.

A few years late but that looks like an Aitor Jungle King 2 knife, knife7.

Picked this one up the other day because I thought it was "interesting". Don't usually buy Pacific Rim knives but this one looked pretty decent. Someone had clumsily tried to remove the China etch on the tang so I finished it by using some worn out 400 grit wet-or-dry paper and some Mother's Mag wheel Polish on it.
File work is decent and not over done;stabilized wood handles(thought they were horn at first until I cleaned them;the odor was familiar);more file work on the brass liners of the handles;good fit and finish;nice leather sheath except the design lets the knife sit loose inside and allows a few inches of movement up and down.
I don't intend to carry it as I have no need for a fixed blade that large(9 1/2 inch blade)for everyday use;I just like it.

Looks and sounds like a pretty well made knife. If ya like it, that's what matters, knife7knut!

Just got this one. The blade is 10" long and 1/4" thick at the spine. Not something I'd carry every day but don't be surprised if it goes hunting and camping with me!

sas, I had one of those huge case knives once, they were called a Rio Grande camp knife, made in the 80's if I remember correctly. I love it. wish I hadn't sold mine.

You are absolutely correct Terry. It is a CASE XX Rio Grande Camp Knife and it is dated 1990 on the tang. The blade is ten inches long and 1/4" thick at the spine. The handle scales are Sambar Stag. It has some serious weight to it as well. It is a prime example of a heavy duty, multipurpose field knife.

Great looking dragon slayer there with the antler handle and Case 1990 stamp Sasquach. That sword's a beauty for sure. Excellent. And probably fun to use, got a BK-9 that's not quite that long but man what a cutting chopping machine they are.

Ivoryman, I have two other knives that are about the same size, both have been posted here before. My Randall Gilbreath bench made crown stag Bowie at 15 1\4" OAL (which has seen extensive use) and the Muela Kangaroo Bowie at 14 1/2" that I recently acquired.

The Parker Edwards, Randall Gilbreath Bowie is 22 years old now and has been to hunting camp and into the bush many times. It has chopped fire wood, helped clear shooting lanes and trails, peeled potatoes, field dressed deer, and looked really good doing it!

I think the Case is capable of out performing it but not by much. I think the weight of the Case will make it a better chopping tool. The Muela was listed as "used" when I purchased it but it doesn't appear to have been used at all. I don't think it will have any trouble hanging in with the other two. I think I've got the "big knife" niche covered but I have this weakness for beautiful knives that will probably cause me to buy another one at some point!

That is a beautiful knife. That IS a beautiful knife. That is a BEAUTIFUL knife. And I agree, if it were mine it would be only a looker. Hope you got the idea that I think that THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL KNIFE.

Thanks guys. The blade really is heavy duty but is for warfare which I try to avoid

but its fun making the sheaths. This was my first ever hybrid and maybe last.
