I love those old bone Japanese mega-hobo camp knives. I have one that gets regular use as a traveling eating utensil, although the more or less unfinished carbon steel rusts at the drop of a hat (as do the bolsters). I've had to take a pencil or a rust eraser to it more often than I'd like, and even with a coat of mineral oil it seems to find a way to corrode within weeks if I'm not keeping after it.

I got inspired by big-H to grab my old Imperial cow knife. Gave the copperlock its first ride and clipped the Leek to the RFP as per usual.

Loving them knives fellers, some fine cutlery being bandied about, I'm gonna tote my newest accumulations today. May throw in a leek just for bunkum.

This old imperial has proven itself time again as an excellent work knife.

Kept the bone handled Remington I carried the past few days in the pocket and switched the GEC for a rosewood handled Schatt for today.

Paul I've got the official Boy Scout version of your knife and I love it. It has some of the best blade steel of any knife I own.

Sunknife that's one very classy combo you're totin'.

I botched up the wood that came in the knife kit so I used paracord and leather for the handles!!!

Fabulous knives out today everybody. Wow. 14 year old Mini Copperhead, used to be Amber bone, dyed it, tried to make it Rogers bone.

So many good looking and interesting knives being shown today. Scott, your paracord works really well with that knife.

Man, oh man!! You fellas are swinging for the fences today! Great looking stag and bone.

If you will mail that knife to me, I will put some scales on it for you. I have many options in wood and micarta. The paracord wrap looks great,but I’m sure it is not what you had in mind when you ordered it.

Nice Ivoryman. I've thought of purchasing a case in amber bone and trying some dye on it, I think you nudged me closer to doing just that. I really like the way your's turned out, great color!

These two went with me today. Used the clip blade knife to slice an apple today and also for easting a seasoned pork chop off the grill last night, really added to the patina, especially after cutting the pork.
