No, it was something my bank account said, (it said "hey, do you like eating? Then you better lay offa the pocket knife thing for awhile".). I'm kinda sorta caught up I think, so I should be around more in the future. I've also been trying to pay off an expensive piece of sound equipment I thought I couldn't live without, so that has cut into my knife budget too. But, I saw this old beauty and couldn't resist giving myself a Christmas present, so I'm back to my old self again!
I know the words to that song. For some reason I just can't seem to bring myself to sing it. I guess I just don't mind rice and beans. Good to see you posting again. You know you don't really need to post a knife every time. Just hanging out here is good enough.

Thanks, I know, it was just a long summer with a lot of unexpected expenses which kept me distracted, but it was also trying to learn how to use a digital sound mixer and Windows 10 at the same time, (btw: I HATE W10, though I kinda/sorta learned how to use it.), that was a daily chore for days at a time. I'm now wondering what knives I missed a chance to own while I was "distracted".

Today's trip to the post office produced another Imperial "deer head" pocket knife for the zoo. I gave it a little cleaning, took some pictures and posted them below.

Today I got a knife mail call, (first in a long time), a R1063 Remington with a lot of usage but in very good condition. I really like the truly pocket worn jigged bone handles. From a members only auction on IKC Forum.
Very nice old knife.

Here is what the Post Rider brought to Ponder Country today.
Shinwa---Black Takegara; G10 textured handle w/clip; stainless steel blade; 5” closed; Made in China.
Kutmaster—Barlow; two stainless steel blades; N/S bolsters; brass liners and pins; simulated bone handle.
Camillus--(From the producer) "Yello-Jaket knives are back! These pocket knives range from 1 to 4 blades. Blades are AUS-8 Japanese polished steel and are corrosion resistant. Carbon fiber body accents give this line of knives a unique and distinguished look.. Overall Length (Inches): 2.5 (closed). Blade Length (Inches): 1.75. Etched Clip blade. Lifetime warranty." I have no idea what year the Kutmaster and Camillus are, but the Shinwa is new.
My wife Cheryl said this hobby was starting to cost a lot of money, to which I replied "honey we are waaaaay past worrying about that!" I may be eating a cold hotdog tonight.

Well another delivery from the Post Rider today.
It's a single surgical steel blade, lockback from Parker Cut Co. Brass bolsters, liners and pins. Smooth bone handle. Appears to be a very well made knife. I think I will use it as one of my EDC knives for a while.

Ole smokey had a pretty good sale going on and free shipping, so I got a few I'd been wanting.

dlr, your Parker "Mustang" LB is a good looking knife. Not many collectors appreciate them so it's buyer's market. The best of the Parker, Japan, LB's is the "Grey Ghost". I have a couple but am not at home to take pictures.

Thanks much for the info kj. I don't know much about the Parker, but I'm going to do some research.
