"Made In USA" is a tang stamp used on knives made by Camillus for Sears from 1924 into the 1960s according to the Kastor List. Judging by the can opener, I would guess yours is pre-WWII.

Here's a little Robeson Girl Scout knife I recently stumbled upon. Thanks to our resident Robeson expert, Charlie Noyes, aka RobesonsRme.com, I was able to determine this was in fact a rather rare and obscure short run Girl Scout knife made by Robeson. Thanks again Charlie.

Great find Phil - as Charlie knows that particular knife is on my top 3 most wanted list - beyond scarce and in great condition. At last recollection I think I offered Charlie enough for a nice Hawaiian vacation for his specimen. I really need to get out more and depend less on the internet to find needles in a haystack! Thanks for sharing - she's a beauty!

Here's another new to me scout knife. It's a Pal that I got from some ole hide skinner at the Dalton Show.

I picked up a Case XX ERA this week what a well built knife.Also a Imperial Kamp King Ireland in great condition.

Here my only one, a Western with purty bone scales. It was a gift from Coffeecup and completely overhauled including a new bail by Elvis. I love that old Western bone!

I purchased this Western of Ebay. I was going to put the blade in another knife .It turn out better than the Ebay picture.It's was made in 1977 (Western USA/S-901A )

NNNNIIIICCCCEEEEEEEE! Let me dig up a few, I post a pic in a little while.

Here is one I picked up today for $10.The stamp is a bit unusual to me:Stamped Hammer Brand USA.What is unusual is that the word Hammer has a space between the two M's(like this HAM MER) with the hammer head intruding into the space and the word BRAND in very small letters underneath. Also the USA stamp is vertical.
The master blade is slightly short and re-curved and the jigged brown scales have shrunk slightly.Bolsters are solid and the backsprings are carbon steel as is the center liner.The stamp almost looks like the NYKC logo rather than the later Colonial version.Whatever the case it is a nice knife.

Guess I'm into group shots not enough energy right now for individual portraits.

Jerry I was watching that knife but the postage was too high to Australia.
I have seen a few of the white ones with a crack at the shield.
I could not find one in the completed listings.There is another one on Ebay at the moment.

That one is in better condition than the one I just bought and the one I have in my pile. The one in my pile also has a shield crack but it's not as noticeable as the one I just bought.

It doesn't look like your white handle Scout has the shield crack.

Shield cracks (especially on the white ones) are fairly common on the Scout knives. 72s in general seem to have a lot of handle cracks at the rocker pin. Just the nature of the beast, I guess.

Jerry my one has a crack on the shield side towards the bottom bolster.It seems the white handle's crack more than the others.Being white the crack stand out more.
