Roland, it does amaze me that one of these could survive so long without being played to death, I really lucked out.

Just in from Jeffinn and what a knife. Looks better in hand than the pics and absolutely love the orange/reddish/brownish colors in the worm groove. Also love the stiff spring and hard snap, this one won't accidently close on you. Tight as a drum too. And the super thin profile because Jeff slimmed it down and can't thank him enough for the great craftsmanship and sweet re-assembly job that is amaaaaaaaaaazing. Better snap and action than any Schrade I have and a one of kind to me. Never seen an 8OT with one blade, or the file work, or the fabulous worm groove bones. Fawning over this one today and just can't say enough good about it. Brilliant work Jeff, top end quality and fabulous taste in bones. Thanks thanks thanks and more thanks.

Picked up a group of Schrade Cut and Walden's over the weekend. Most of these can out of Mark Nagle's collection. Mark passed away from cancer a few years ago much too soon.He was a very dedicated Schrade collector and had very good taste.
I'll start out with a 3" Schrade Cut stepped bolster jack.

That's a 2553 and it's extraordinarily rare. There was one on ebay a couple of years ago that got chased up over $600 if I remember right. Great knife. ::tu::

Beautiful knives Roger! Mark had one of the finest Schrade Cut Co collections I've ever seen. Every one of them was pretty much mint. You're one lucky hombre to have been able to acquire some!! ::tu:: ::tu::
