I agree with Doglegg I like the first handle, but the 3rd knife pattern.

Those are from the “grandfather” line, historical patterns, using original dies, carbon steel… made like 100 years ago.

I like everything about the model in the middle.
The milky beige covers just looks so satisfying.
I wouldn't turn my nose up at any of those beautiful knives, let alone pick one.

Knives-of-France....I am curious what you think about this knife marked BARGEON, THIERS
It doesn't look like a typical French pattern to me
Could it be a "Frankenknife" with a French master blade installed on a different frame? Also, the nail nick on the large blade is partially blocked by the small blade, rendering it practically useless for opening, but perhaps that's the reason for the Easy Open notch in the handle???

Yes, it’s odd
I don’t know that from Bargeon, French knives typically don’t have shields and the nail nick doesn’t fit
I’d say it’s not the original blade

Yes, that's what I think as well. Mahalo
FWIW--Whoever assembled this knife did a decent job; both blades walk and talk. Would make a solid EDC for someone who liked to carry this style knife

Good thing I didn't post it in the Mystery Knife Game thread....I doubt anyone would've guessed it was French (because except for the master blade, it's probably not
