Nice score!
I am currently watching one bundled with another, cheaper melon tester that the seller doesn't know is a Queen (made during the period that there were no tang stamps, etch has long since worn off). It's cheap, and I've been meaning on seeing how it stacks up against my Colonials.

, bighomer!
That's an interesting etch on the blade.
I don't recall seeing a Queen #45 with advertising etch.

Doesn't seem to be all that rough.

Blade looks mostly full and the handle/frame seems solid...how's the walk & talk?

The big X detracts from it looks and it has a hickey on the blade but otherwise it's fine. The snap is like most of these, scary bear trap like. Farmer both of my big 45's are advertising knives. They probably wuz pretty cheap knives back in the day
I've read that these were popular with the divers back in the day before tacticals and such came to be.

Bighomer,
In one of the Queen catalogs there is a diver’s model of the #45. It has a blunt tip for obvious reasons. These are some neat knives.

This one just kinda fell into my lap by accident. I put in a lowball bid but didn't expect to win it.
Surprise, surprise, and here it is!

Nice knife. They only made 700 of those for members only. Original selling price in 99 was $30 to members.

My latest Queen is...you guessed it...another Mini Trapper. This is one of Ken Daniels' Cozy Glen Classic Knives made under the Queen City brand name. According to the seller I bought it from, only 65 of this model were made. I already have a couple of this same model (51T) with green jigged bone, so I was quite pleased to discover this one with amber "Indian Trail" jigged bone.

Many thanks Mark, David, Floyd, Randy & Philip; appreciate the kind words.
This 2002-2017 era Mini Trapper #51T with highly figured wood handle is my newest Queen. I'm not sure exactly what kind of wood it is, I would guess either Cocobolo or Zebra wood (leaning more towards Zebra based on comparison with other knives in my collection). Although this knife was made sometime during the final years of Queen Cutlery Company, it's built more like the Queen knives of earlier years with excellent fit & finish, smooth transitions, tight run-up, crisp walk & talk with half-stops and strong opening & closing snap on both blades. It has original factory edges and looks and feel brand new. 3½" Closed
