Beautiful Copperlocks Q, sweet group of Wharn blades above them. Beautiful S&M too. Funny, I got scolded and called out once for posting a knife with a Wharn blade but NOT a Wharncliffe frame and style in this very thread. Nobody mentioned that here. Interesting. Maybe the purists are currently asleep. But they'll wake up eventually I figure.

Awesome wharncliffes Q

... the wharncliffe mods by Glenbadd are very cool looking with the copperlocks!!
Iman - never knew there were wharncliffe purists

... to me a wharncliffe frame without a wharncliffe blade is no different than a wharncliffe blade without a wharncliffe frame and than of course there are those knives which sport both - all wharncliffes IMHO... just my 2 cents

I believe the distinction between Wharncliffe frame and Wharncliffe blade was bandied about some earlier in the thread before all came to a gentleman's agreement that this thread would feature both.
(You might run into some resistance if you try posting a long, thin Wharncliffe blade, however...

)

Scroll back a few pages. It's there. But Wharncliffe anything is cool to me so post any and all I say. Can't go wrong with that.

If this one had a pocket clip, I would definitely EDC it.
Really loving this pattern.

Up until I got this Jaguar, my philosophy was always that I've never seen a wharncliffe blade I wouldn't want to collect. And, additionally, I thought that for $2.95, I couldn't possibly go wrong...I mean, how bad could it be, right?
Well, I was wrong on both counts. It's knives like this that give Chinese made knives a bad reputation.
Complete waste of $5.75 ($2.95 + $2.80 s/h)
When is the next POS Roundtable?

Interesting Knives, Q. I like the Copperlocks. It really is bad when you spend $6 on a knife and it is not worth it!

I like the Seahorse pattern, but the frame is just a little off of the classic Wharncliffe is it not? Very subtle, and I have wondered if Case did it on purpose.
Here is my latest Wharncliffe.

It seems to be, almost like a swell-center variant of the Wharncliffe frame. Subtle but it's there. Sure does fit in the hand nice.
That is one sweet pearl whittler.

Speaking of mother of pearl...here are a couple more wharnies I had totally forgotten about (they were hidden in a dark corner of my knife safe).

Think you scorched my monitor with that pearl. No wonder you keep it in a dark corner.

Sweet whittler Greedygulo, congrats. Love that one. Even the writing on the blade does something for it not usually found on a knife.
Q, that carbon fiber scaled Beretta puts the circuit board to shame. Very cool looking one there, like the liners in blue. Looks much better IMHO. Nice threesome.

Thanks Ivoryman...funny thing about the G-10 version: I like the look of the blue liners, but after I got it in my hand, I actually liked the circuit board scales/inserts more.
Nice clean up job on the Queen abalone 1/2 whit.
Here's how it used to look:

Landers, Frary, and Clark (LF&C) 0288 Half Whittler, Depression era. A well used, but well cared for (snap is still excellent) knife. Only cost me $11.
This was actually the knife that sold me on the Wharncliffe blade--that little two inch blade goes through just about anything with ease, and has no trouble puncturing even the toughest of materials.
