Thanks for the kind remarks

. Enjoyed the whole experience, as Old Hunter stated "fishing in Alaska vicariously", it really lets us see how some of our internet acquaintances do things in the outdoors. It was especially interesting to see the different ways the deer were dressed. Old Hunter does 'em head down, 313Mike does them laying on their backs and we do 'em head up. Bottom line, Griz got the job done! Now if this cold spell will last about a week we'll have another properly aged deer to cut up

.

It's surreal for me to think I know exactly where this knife has been and what it did in Alaska, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Northern Florida.......
Thanks again for VOLUNTEERING!!!

Did I tell you fellas Griz was heading back out?
A friend of mine planned a small trek through the Appalachians and was looking at carrying more than his SAK. I offered the world-traveler....GRIZ!
I received this picture yesterday along with this info:
Waterfalls is Hazel Falls in Blue Ridge Mountains
Having an awesome time but these mountains are kicking my ass!
Mt friend is doing this trek as part of his mid-life crisis!

Well......Griz was outdoors with me again yesterday 10/17/16 as I took my grandsons and 2 of their friends on a mission at
Starkey Wilderness Park.
Griz cut an apple, couple oranges and made some fatwood shavings.
Here he is shown with some of the fatwood harvest from yesterday...
