I hate to say it, but I think this could be "the One"
I just really feel like this knife is gonna grow up with me.
First things first. Sharp, sharp, Sharp!
I really like the way the 15 feels in the hand. I'd like to get to whittling, so I'm puttin a right keen edge on this one.

I'm with ya' Mike, _____ just got this one, it could find it's way,into my pocket for a few fishing trips,with this ""Ol' Man"" ???

Rumor has it that the EC Sheepfoot Boy's knives, and the Sheepfoot TC Barlows will be released by August 1st.
With any luck, I will have some of the Barlows at the Rendevous, and GEC will have the EOs, but that is not for sure. We will definitely see them working on the #15 at the factory tours!

I have dreamed of an SFO like this ever since I found an old Schrade Cut Sheepfoot Barlow, after looking for many years!!
It's the top one in this picture. (Badly rusted, but never sharpened!)

Congratulations! Those blades look great! I really like the swedge. The etch is fun too, but, thats a Ram in the picture LOL. I like Ram's, its my Zodiac sign.. Looks like a RealRamFoot.. of course that etch wont last long once patina sets in.. all good

will be watching for a picture of the blade closed into the handle too

next up, East African Ebony!

I didn't know the difference either until just recently. The Lamb Foot blade (top picture) has a slight taper to it from tang to tip. The Sheep Foot blade (lower picture) has the cutting edge parallel to the spine. The Ram Foot was just someone having fun with it because the picture etched on the blade is a Ram (male sheep).

Edit: These are not my knives or my pictures. I stole the pictures off the Internet to use as examples. My apologies if I've inadvertently led anyone to false conclusions.

Sheep is the generic term with Ram = male and Ewe = female.

A little help here Grant. Back me up in case no one believes me. (Grant raises sheep in Australia. He's an expert on the subject.)

otoh, a flock of Sheep is primarily a flock of Ewes, as Rams actually don't coexist well with other Rams. Its a guy thing, same with Roosters. Which makes me realize that Chicken eggs are actually HensEggs, LOL!

If like with Chickens, most Sheep are Ewes, then most of their feet will be EwesFeet, but, Im looking forward to my next blade being the exceptionally Rare and Original,

Ummm . . . it's a similar thing with Chickens. Generic term Chickens, Males are Roosters, Females are Hens. All the eggs are Chicken eggs, laid by Hens.
Hens' eggs can be Peacock, Chicken . . . .you get the picture!!

My knives are inclusive! Rams and Ewes can both get a manicure from a Sheepfoot blade!!

I'm really liking the new sheepfoot blade! I poached this photo from another forum (sheepfoot center): The master blade sits quite nicely in the handles of the two blade version and looks 'pinchable' in the single blade version.

I will have some in my store very soon!
