Sorry pal; two days late but I'm here...
Well We see a well used # S-77-F Fish Knife!! The fact that this knife is still here and the intentionally made vinyl sheath's condition is a testament of it's successes!! The vinyl sheath was a smart move considering that when Colonial introduced this baby back in the 60's, there wasn't a lot of high tech plastics around, and leather was out of the question.
Joe K. and I were just talking about this old favorite and Joe showed a brand new,still in individual blister pack!! He's a blister pack Colonial Freek!!
I bet this knife you've got here Scott could really tell some stories!!

Good to see some of my Colonial friends here and about...
I have spent the last four days allowing the flue to kick my but and I'm starting to come around..I wish the flue iteslf had a bodily form of some kind that I could target and unleash my tricked out M-4 on it!
Back to reality guys...my fla. and Conn. buddy's are buzzing about a beautiful Original display card pre-plasic molding injection as you all know today, and far from air tight! Most of you would agee that if you shook it, it sonded like you were make Jijjy-pop on the stove top!! All things aside IT WORKED!! Keep in mind folks, I remember loading cases and cases of these cards every day for years from the cellar stock room up to the packing room for many years.
These were the standered Barlow 2-blade jack knife that Colonial started making back in the 60's!! Buy the way this item was stock # 292 forever! Thin saw cut TOUGH plasic handles, that altered many times, nice strong .080, 1080 high carbon steel was the blade and spring steel of choice, and even with the liners plated, we used a tough .1080
grade of steel with a thickness at.080...
Even the thick and heavy Bolster plating was a must for my approval.

I and going guys, and I hope I was helpfull, My head is spinning and have to go lay down..

Bobby (and anyone battling a cold or flu), try eating about 4 clementines or mandarin oranges a day. I don't get a shot and I swear the oranges ward off germs. Get better man!

Good evening gents! I am alive and well after being dropped behind enemy lines, shot, and then treated by a MASH unit and put back in circulation for now. It's incredible how a virus can drop a 350 lb, grown man with the snap of a finger.
My buddy Lawrence shows us an old # 492 Y and has clearly seen some action but is still here! The next little one blade baby was made in around the same time, early to mid 40's and has seen some action also. I believe the stock number back then was # TP-36, but I could be wrong. If you need some top only bolsters for this old pal I think I can accomodate you; let me know..The next 2-blade little honey was made in several variouty's untill we officially numbered it as our # 4801, and incorporated it into own Swiss Master Line. The one you show here is a much earlier version; probably late 40's.....
Last but not least our good ole' baby shell # 17 with full shell and Celluliod insert is certainly some of Ambassador's first line of surface imprint line that began late 30's, early 40's. I might add that a version of this little baby is the same one that I give away FREE in my book but with a money clip on the back liner!! All you gents that have my book know this for sure..
Now wiseguy shows to beautiful old push button honeys that were made in the early 40's and are a star addition to any colllection!!
I hope you guys are writing this stuff down because I've got a good memory but it's short!

Your very welcome my friend...glad I could help. I think you are my first Canadian friend on AAPK any way. I've had many Canadian friends forever! I have a story about my ex-wife and I camping in Lake George, as we often did. My old pal Mike Schokland originally from Long Island N.Y., had some land in the hills of upstate Ny....Lake George and total bee line North to Warren'sburg, Stonnycreeck. then up the foothills on the edge of the most beautiful hunk of heaven, I'd ever seen...never forget it. Mike's family had a old shack, big enough to house and sleep 8-10 hunters. Out house 30 yards North of the only known running water, straight out of the mountains, cold as hell!!
We all wish Mike was still with us but things changed years ago. . .
So sorry to bable on. Canadians are great!!

Hey WLF!! I must say it's wicked nice to see some of my very early work, mid 70's..This Old Cutler #533 large stockman has clearly been tricked out big time!! The regular .095, 1095 High Carbon steel blades have been replaced by custom etched, work back springs and blades. Creating my own personal tang stamp within Colonial Knife itself was a bold move, but nobody was going to get in my way back then!!
The neat twin tone Buffalo Horn handles I used to get from my old friend, Adrian Harris (coln' coon), and a few other dealers in Tennessee and Kentucky. The bolster's are a find I'll never forget!
These HAND ENGRAVED BOLSTER'S I had made by Mr. Clint Orms from Texas! He's been retired for 20 years...
If you paid under 100 bucks for it my friend, you scored because there were only 10 or 15 I ever made and the value is closer to
$150.00 or more!! There weren't many made and they'll never be made again!! Judge the value on that fact......Fortunate man..

I made that knife by hand over 30 years ago. There are 20 parts to build this knife and 24 seperate opperations to make it!!
After you showed this beauty the other day, I looked through many old files and sales documents and I've determined that there were only 5 of this exact knife EVER MADE!! I still have two, the other three were sold many years ago, and now you own one!!
Considering the rearity of this knife, I have re-adjusted the value at
$225.00.

Wow, that Buffalo Horn RAP is unbelievable! I love the detail on the back of the blades.
