I obtained another Boker, wire jack, hawkbill pruner, my fourth (Boker). When I receive it, it will get the once over, but it looks like it's in FANTASTIC condition. I will take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Those hawkbills are always a little special and a Boker to boot.

This Geo. Schrade, single blade & fish scaler, wire jack pocket knife will be joining my collection, hopefully soon. It looks like it's in very good condition. When I receive it, it'll get the once over. I'll take pictures & post them in the appropriate location(s).
*****'A special THANK YOU goes out to "knifegnome" for alerting me to this knife's availability.

I don't know how I missed it! I search eBay for a LONG period of time every single day. This was the most inexpensive one of these so far and in, what looks like, GREAT condition. Thank you again.

My latest addition to my wire jack family is this Boker U.S.A., hawkbill pruner. It is my fourth Boker pruner. It needed no cleaning at all. Here are the pictures.

Great looking Boker. That’s as clean as I’ve seen without being “brand new.”

I wish the tang stamp wasn't etched, but unlike a few of my other Boker hawkbills, at least this one is legible.

You're welcome. I'm still looking for the Case version but I'm unwilling to pay what's being asked in the store. I didn't know the Case came with a few different blades.

I'm still searching for a Case also. That one in the store, the only one I've ever seen, is about $200 more than I'd be willing to part with. I didn't know that it came in different blade styles either.

These two arrived yesterday. Geo Schrade, single blade, wire jack, pocket knives. Neither knife has a tang stamp that I don't already have. Each received a very minimal cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are.

Cool Skip, that fishing knife rates right up there with the hawkbills to me.

I just bought this Boker U.S.A., single blade, hawkbill pruner, wire jack, pocket knife. I can't tell if the tang is stamped or etched. There is etching on the blade. It says KODACEL - PLASTIC FILM & SHEET. It looks like it's in pretty nice condition. When it arrives, I'll give it the once over, I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Skip,
Is that Kodacel related to Kodak? You're the undisputed King of the Wire Jack, hands down.

Hi John, thank you.

I don't know if Kodak "invented" KODACEL, but they are involved in the use of it.

This is my Geo Schrade and Boker U.S.A., wire jack, pocket knife collection, so far. It is current, except for the Boker hawkbill pruner that I recently purchased and am waiting for. I'd also like to add this eBay auction item to my wire jack collection (last 5 pictures).
As of Sunday night, January 5, the item (last 5 pictures), sold for $130. I bid $$$, but evidently it wasn't enough.

Just filled a hole in my Schrade wire jack collection. It's a small hawkbill with the 1926 patent date on the tang. As you can see it's somewhat stained and the finger guard is missing the red paint but mechanically it's in excellent condition especially considering its age and what these wire jacks were usually subjected to.

Thanks. There are enough variations to keep me searching, plus always looking to upgrade the condition of individual pieces.

Yesterday, I received this Boker U.S.A., single blade, hawkbill pruner, wire jack pocket knife. The tang stamp is etched. Although barely visible, there is etching on the blade. It says KODACEL - PLASTIC FILM & SHEET. Whether or not this knife is somehow connected to Kodak, I don't know. KODACEL is mentioned 6 posts above this one. I cleaned what I could without destroying the blade etch. Here it is.

Today, I purchased this (probably) Geo Schrade, single blade, wire jack, hawkbill pruner, pocket knife. Not bad when you consider that I got it for less than $10, shipping included. When I receive it, I'll give it the once over. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).
