Thought I'd post up a few somewhat gnarly stag scales on Italian style stilettos. Some are older but most are reasonably new.

Here's a gnarly one to add -
Wostenholm English Jack - 4 & 9/16" with a very full blade... most likely dates 1890-1900 or so...
Wostenholm Eng Jack - Stag - Mark Side1.jpg

Mike, that is one beautiful Utica.
Added this Parkin&Marshall recently, could date back to Civil War era.

Great Turner knife MB, what is the small blade, a can opener, an erasure?
Mike, that is a LOVELY Utica, and a nearly 5" that is some big ol' stag!
Nice one John, Tweedale mentions that founded in 1845, Parkins& Marshal received an Honorable Mention at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851.

Beechtree, thank you very much for the information, big help.
Another early stag handled knife showed up today, a C X Lockwood Brothers, it is a big lock back, took one of the pics showing it next to a large stag pruner to show size.

Sweet knife Dimitri

... and great to see this thread awake again

..
Here's another to help try to keep this going... This one is not quite as gnarly as it is very pocket worn - nothing like old pocket worn stag
George Wostenholm IXL Cutlery - 1850-1890 - 3 & 3/4" Equal-End Pen knife... I'll post a few more photos of the knife on the Homage to Pen Knife thread but showing the stag here
