Been tryin' to do ya proud on your thread...Hope your pleased at "our" efforts. The Remington boys are sure showing some very special knives. I'm hoping to see a few of yours again my friend. I will be posting a few tomorrow to keep things interesting. God bless my man!

Unfortunately I have not bought a good old Remington in a long time But I still have a few nice ones I have not posted here before need to get out the camera and snap a few pictures when I can

Thanks for the kind words Dimitri I appreciate them. Will be posting more Remington caboodle and some older Remington production and advertising knives later today. I really look forward to "seeing" the knives you show here, I know they are something to see...all of them are! Have a blessed one my friend.

Been a long day working outside and believe it or not got me a sunburn on my shoulders while working. Weather man sayin' we are supposed to get snow this Sunday...hard to believe with this kind of day. Trees blooming, flowers poppin', grass sproutin'...snow...really! I know we can get the stuff all the way in to April but after a day like today it's hard to believe.
Any way here's a few to post before I return back to work.

Rocky thank for posting the nice knives and the Caboodle, too. The R100B you posted a couple of days ago is very outstanding. You probably know all the exceptions to the Punch and Acorn shield combination shown on the 100B. Seems like there are only a couple of patterns that have a Punch blade with a Federal shield. The pocket oiler is really sweet and in great condition.

Here is a picture of a R563. It still has a little of the bluing on the punch.

Rocky my friend you have inspired me to take some pictures of the Remington stuff I have not posted before!

Seeing you posted some nice Remington accessories as well as knives I would like to show this old oil can I have.

Also a RS3335 scout knife and a unusual fire department related knife, this one is just starting to off gas it was unused when I got it many years ago it has just started to rust, it may stop if not I will have to peel off the handles It needs to be watched very carefully.

Nice MB, Any idea on the age of the oil can?

P.S. You are right on the punch blade combination, you don't see but a few patterns with the federal shield and punch.

Dave, So glad to see your giving us a look see at some of your Rems. I know you have some good 'uns.Love the example of your R563. I know you know but for those that don't, That pattern is cataloged by Remington with both styles of bolsters. It is possible that yours is a later production than Jerry"s but it is correct to my understanding. Let's see some more! HET!!

Dimitri, I'm so glad you have been motivated! Love ,Love, Love it! Great example and condition of the oil can. I have seen a few of those but not always as clean as your example. Nice!The Stars and Stripe Scout is to die for. I have been wanting to add a few of those to my collection but I am very picky with this pattern and the condition that I want. Love yours, it is very nice. ScoutKnives,(Mike B.) has some that can make a grown man cry over!LOLOL The pattern on the advertising Pen knife is what I think should be the R7895. Appears to be like my MKT railroad pen. It is rare according to Stewart and Ritchie. This pattern thought to only come with the Masonic emblem shield.It is a shame that it is gasing out. I have found that this occurs more often on the lighter pyremite colors rather than the darker colors. Just my observation.
I hope others will catch fire and feel the desire to collect and show their Remington collections. Some really great stuff out their. Keep 'em coming Dimitri if you have more Remington "caboodle" would love to see it my friend as I'm sure others would as well.

Thanks Roger, Rocky, Dmitri, Dave for the gracious words regarding the R563. Dave your R563 is pretty sweet too. I'm going to try to resist the temptation to get into Caboodle even though you all are demonstrating how cool it can be.

I can keep it going for a few more days with some knives. Here is a pair of Stockman patterns. I believe they are based on the same frame with different blade configurations.

The first two pictures are a Remington R3053 with a Clip, Spey, and Sheepfoot with a Federal shield. The etch is very faint on this one and the pattern is inked with only the "30" faintly visible in the right light at the right viewing angle.

The second two pictures are a Remington R3063 with a Clip, Spey, and Punch with an Acorn shield. This one has a decent etch visible and a stamped pattern number.

Jerry you are very welcome. I love to look at Remington knives, I'm like a kid in a candy store just can't get enough but hard to buy it all. I love the Stockman patterns and especially love the R3053 very nice and I love the color on that bone and the blade configuration.
I really have enjoyed collecting antique and vintage Remington products in general. Doing so satisfies my eclectic taste in collecting. Surprisingly much less costly than buying knives at times.

How about a Remington display case .
This one holds 24 knives with storage in the back .

Hey Mike, do my eyes deceive me or is that a scout knife sitting center stage in the display? That is a beautiful case. Is it all original or has it been refurbished? Almost looks brand new. Very nice Mike, Nice addition to any collection. If your going to display the beauties you have you need a beauty of a home to showcase them.

P.S. Love the Budweiser light you have behind you. Very cool!!

Yes that was a test fit to see if a scout knife fit , display case is all original , no restoration just a light cleaning .
Can't believe you could see the reflection of the Budweiser light
Makes for great shop lighting .

It even came with an extra knife board .
