All About Pocket Knives

Very nice knives Bigdaddy, I think i would pop them scales off that Fight'n Rooster as they are starting to gas out. Maybe some pretty bone scales would extend its life nicely!

what about stag thats what ive been thinking about do you have any idea on how much it would cost to get it rehandeled in bone or stag i know that bone will be a littel cheaper thats why i would like to know the prices thanks for the complaments on my knives

I don't have any idea on the prices for replacement. You might contact Muskrat Man or one of the other knife mechanics here on AAPK. Here's a similar one in smooth white bone.......

well i thought it was time to show some american made congress knives here is four case xx 3 of them are 10 dot 1970 congress and one 1992 case congress

Here's some of my half congress knives.

here is one of my favorites its a fa bower half congress 3 7/16 long with some really nice looking brown jigged bone handels

You two "Big" fellas are sure sporting some excellent congress knives.

here is another german congress its a fightn rooster frank buster celebrated cutlery germany its number 33 of ? what can anyone tell me about this one

ya johnny i like the congress pattern and most are german

and a couple more these are bokers the first one the tang says heinr buker & co baumwerk-solingen germany-alemania the u has a shape over it and the second one says h buker solingen germany

I really like the jigging on those Bokers

and a few more german congresses these are ja henkels the top one i think has some really pretty bone scals and the middel one has some nice red bone scals and the bottem one is stag all three are nice

thanks basser5 like them also im not sure but i think that these two are older cause the way boker is spelled buker with a symbol over the u and the brown jig bone handels set them off them are the only two i have spelled like that does anybody have any idea on when they were made thanks everybody

Boker sometimes uses older stamps on new knives.
The one with the Henry Boker shield was a SFO if I recall correctly. General consensus is it was made in the early 1980s for SMKW.

I'm kinda stumped on the other one. That shield was used in 2008 on knives with the apaloosa bone scales.
That's the only use of that shield I've ever seen. But those scales don't look like the apaloosa bone to me. I'll have to do some research on that one.

ok a couple more german congresses they are hen&rooster the top one is cracked ice the tang says bertram cutlery 344-ci and the second one is also bertram cutlery 344-arc solingen germany there is something about the german knives that i like
