Nice finds Skip! ::tu:: :D

I just bought this one. I made an offer & he agreed. 4€ shipped ::shrug:: I figure the slip is worth 2 so the knife only cost 2. If the knife is junk, I'll use the slip for a better knife. ::tu:: :D

And this (1950's?) Shapleigh Hdwr. Dimond Edge Serpentine Pen Knife 2 3/4 inches (made by Schrade Walden) is on it's way to my mother's house. I traded for it. ::tu:: (I almost sound like an expert. :lol: :wink: )

No I don't kj. Those are the only pics I have. It may be unstamped as well. Why? ::shrug::

I have a Hen & Rooster on my watch list but I'm not really sure if I want it or not. It has a lot of scratches. Should I try for it? ::shrug::
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Altes-Messer-f% ... 1438.l2649

And also this KC/Klaas. ::shrug:: https://www.ebay.de/itm/Vintage-Robi-Kl ... 1438.l2649

Or a Böker. ::shrug:: https://www.ebay.de/itm/B%C3%B6ker-Tasc ... 1438.l2649

Anybody looking for a SS Pen from a specific brand? ::shrug:: They show up a lot on the bay here and normally aren't that expensive. Usually like between 5 & 25€ shipped. I could keep my eyes open for you. And If I found one you liked, we could work out a trade. Just an offer. ::tu::

Tom, I like pen knives including those with metal handles but very few people here in North America collect these so prices are low for nearly all brands.
C. Bertram Hen & Rooster & Henckels are brands that do sell a little higher. I am selling off my knives so send me a PM if you would like to see a few very nice examples. Is there any 'issue' with mailing small knives to Germany ?

I'd be interested in adding to those made in Solingen. Pretty much all of my ad knives are American and Swiss; with a couple being Sheffield.

And not penknives, but I'm wanting to start adding to my collection of advertising Mercator/K55K folders.

I just bought this Geo Schrade, single blade, wire jack pocket knife. It appears to be in good condition. When I receive it, I'll look it over, take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Nope! No issues with pocket knives as long as the stated value is low. If they are expensive, customs might charge me something. :D

I just obtained this knife for best offer. Another Allen Cutlery Company, Newburgh, N.Y., pocket knife (1917-1925).
It will receive a cleaning when it arrives. Pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s).

Got this little guy coming direct from Bear and Sons. 2020 seems to be one of their more interesting years; with quite a few neat USA made "World Legal" designs. After getting burned multiple times ordering Bear and Son products from Amazon that turned out to be factory rejects and returns'; I figure I'm safer buying direct. Trying to support American cutlery companies as best as I can; especially after Queen went belly up.

Bear and Sons Aluminum Slipjoint. 2 1/2" closed, 1.5" blade, 1 oz. $25 shipped and made here in the USA!

I'm with QS! Pretty neat looking! Can you screw off the handles? I always thought if I found a knife that I could take the handles off of real easy, they would be cool to tinker around with. Like make some other handles and put em on. Like maybe some Bone or even some stag. ::super_happy::

Looks like a standard Torx screw; guessing between T6-T8. Should be pretty easy to remove the handles.

::hmm:: Try it. :mrgreen: LOL! Just joking of course. ::super_happy:: I'd probably tear it apart, then need something I don't have (like tools, skills or wisdom) then have to mail it to someone who does have the tools skills and wisdom who could put it back together for me. :mrgreen: But I do like it and I'll check over the weekend If I can find any youtube videos on it. Some folks do try taking knives apart & putting them back together on video for whatever reasons. ::shrug::

I took my Spyderco UKPK apart because I got sand in it on a camping trip--it's still in my hardware organizer down in the basement; disassembled and missing the pivot (rolled under the countertop). I struggled with the backspring. However, I have taken a Kershaw Chive apart, cleaned it out really well, regreased the pocket for the assist spring, and put it all back together.

I have problems with two things--knives designed in a way as to have screw heads on both sides of the knife (the Kershaw has threads in the other side, and pivot is pressed into back handle) and slipjoints (dealing with spring tension).

According to them, they would not simply send the pivot. It would have to be sent to them in Golden; and the assembly or as I call it the "My own stupidity" fee is $20 to have the pivot put back in. The knife cost me $35, shipping and the fee is $28. Ouch!

I did recently have the pivot screw disappear from my H1 Ladybug Salt; that I think they can send by itself. The pivot is a major mechanical part, the screw isn't.
