I received this yesterday. Found out the name of the company that made it, today.
A Robeson 62656.

That's a fine lookin' knife! Was that one made during WWII, seeing it has steel bolsters?

treefarmer, I just found out it was a Robeson a few minutes ago. The little research I've done so far dates this knife to the 1920's-1930's. ::tu:: But there is a VERY good chance that I am wrong. ::shrug::
Here is a link to a previous short discussion on this knife pattern (it's AAPK): viewtopic.php?f=93&t=57492&p=654168&hil ... 56#p653969

Byrd, three nice Schrades, all of 'em meant for a different purpose. I like the little black one best. :)

This one was in the mail this morning:
3 1/2" Stainless Supreme, single blade, wooden handle
3 1/2" Stainless Supreme, single blade, wooden handle
I saw it on ebay and remembered seeing the tang stamp discussed here on the forum. Rootin' around I found where folks feel this was made by Utica as an early introduction to stainless blades. This on looks like someone may have done some buffing in places but the tang stamp is still there. Nothing other than STAINLESS SUPREME on the knife. If there was an etch it is long gone. The knife is 3 1/2" long, half stops and a mean walk and talk. This is the 1st one I've owned. The only other ones I've seen were shown on the forum, all of which were much fancier than this wooden handled single blade.

Received this in the mail today. Click here to see what's going on with this knife (it's safe, it's an AAPK forum):

Today, the mailperson ::facepalm:: delivered this spiffy little Camillus #64. It helps fill out my collection of brown cabone, crest shielded Camillus knives. I have a #14, 64, 67 and a black cabone 72. What others should I be seeking?

Nice old Camillus! The 75 Junior Cattle Knife came with that handle material. I’ll have to find or take a picture of mine for you. OH
Ps Here you go.

Thanks OH.
The 75 is a solid looking thing. I’ll keep a sharp eye out for one. I have a #16 Camillus Heavy Equal End Pen withe the brown Cabone scales. It has a bowtie-ish shield rather than a crest like the 14, 64, 67, and 72. They are all solid folders that have the appropriate feel in one’s hand.

Thanks for the “Brownstag” info, Jerry. ::tu:: I was using “cabone” based on the 1970’s catalogue description. Brownstag sounds more expensive... ::woot::

Those are all some good looking knives folks. I especially liked that "Rigid" you got there New-Winsor-NY! Dang man, even the name is super cool!

I bought my dream knife today! ::ds:: This is the knife that made me want to get into this Hobby of collecting because my mom said it was my Grandfather's EDC. Don't have it yet but I'm gonna post the Bay pics anyways. The seller "patillac916" has had some nice Knives over the last couple of weeks. Some Colonials and some Imperials ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/293164800756?u ... noapp=true ) and stuff like that. Thought you folks might like to see what he sells so I threw in a link to one of his Imperial knives. He also seems to be a really friendly. Anyways, he said I can use his pics on here so here goes. Oh, and he is sending this to my mom's house and I'll get it when I visit her in Aug. ::groove::

Well Thank You Sir! It may just be a Purina knife but in my eyes yes, it was the "grail knife". I know there are other makers and patterns out there so I'll still be looking for those as well but I got my first one now so I'm really very happy about it. :D ::tu::

Have a great Sunday everone!

I've wanted a Purina knife for a long time now but am perpetually scared off by the celluloid handles.

There are some Delrin handled Schrades; and I recall seeing a few with brass handles I'm in the same boat with the Kutmaster 4-Blade Stockman (Clip, sheepsfoot, spey, and punch). Most were made for Northup seeds, and have celluloid handles. The one currently on my eBay shopping list has celluloid scales that look a little gassy. Thinking since I don't care about the scales at all, just getting it rehandled.
