bestgear wrote: Sun Apr 07, 2024 7:28 pm Thanks, Tom. Working with Herb was pleasurable and he’s at the top of his game in terms of communication. I’d highly recommend his services.
Oh I know. ::nod:: Herb is plain and simple a great guy! ::nod:: ::tu:: ::super_happy::
Hey guys!
Do we consider Herb to be a knife mechanic who we'd send our knives to for repair and/or embellishments like we do with Bill or Kaleb? We are good friends and he has helped me greatly in receiving certain knives I can't get myself, but I've not considered him a mechanic, more of a tinkerer/minor repairs man. Thx!

I sent him a small pen knife for parts once and he fixed it and sent it back to me so I think of him as a mechanic. He's just good at keeping a "low profile". :wink: ::nod::
But we have spotted him. ::watching_you:: ::nod::

Drop him a pm, he is an upright and honest fellow. Ask him what he's comfortable doing.

Thanks guys! ::handshake::
As I said, Floyd, we're good friends and we talk regularly, but our talks don't include stuff like his status as a knife maker/repairman/mechanic, etc.
He has told me he use to work with watches, and with a watch being so delicate I guess I just never figured ::shrug:: his work on rough and tough knives would be extensive, but now I know. ::idea::
Thx again men!
