Hey Jerryd I have one of those. I am not sure what the fat and saturated fat content is in mine.

I'm dazed and confused. What happened to that nice looking McGrew Hillbilly Classic that was posted?

And Greg, what do you mean by "why does it exist?" Are you talking about the incongruity of the main being saber ground on both sides vs the long line tang stamp?

I picked up its sister, its I posted over on 'mail' Looking at your boy scout 72 pattern above in the back ground I saw the listing of fat and saturated fat I figured it had to be for the knife. Also on the McGrew I just posted the blade looks rough but it is just my weakness in picture takin and glare.

Yes Jerryd! It makes no sense to discontinue the double side from the 72 then introduce the 1047 with bone handles and a single side sabre and then switch to comp handles with a double side sabre grind. Another little tidbit that I have noticed is there is no swedge on the pile side of these 1047 double sided sabre blades. A mystery that just confounds me ::tease::

Well, the fat content is for peanuts. That is a peanut bag someone here sent to me (I can't remember who but I think it's in my picture files someplace).

As for the McGrew, I was going to tell you it was made by Camillus, post 1976. I just recently discovered that the McGrews ran a pawn shop & had knives made for them to sell.

Greg -- Camillus confounds me. ::cb::

Well Jerryd that solves the fat content of my retirement check then. Yes McGrews pawn burned down this past fall. Don't know if he is going to rebuild. My 72 patterns.

You will wait until you are old and gray if you wait for me there. As you can see from my join date (Dec 28, 2006) and my post count (2009), I seldom go there. I belong to several knife forums but AAPK is my home forum.

A lot high Tommy but then it is ditwtexas. He will come down to a reasonable offer. A high reasonable offer but still not his sky high asking price.
