Camera angle makes the green one look smaller. Both are full size. Green one is second cut jigged hunter green bone and the other is 6.5 burnt bone stag.

TW200, you are going to have to quit with the smoke and mirrors, I didn't think they were the same size either. Maybe you could use that technique on my next portrait and help me loose about 30 lbs.
Always thought that saddle horn knives really looked good but never had one. This little T.B. 62110 showed up on BF the other day at a reasonable price so I took the plunge. This one has some wear, came razor sharp but with a few scratches and since I planned on carrying it not a problem. I have decided after carrying it a while that it is basically a trapper with a funny shaped handle. Not criticism just an observation. I am back to carrying the old 72 again now. Anyway, a neat little knife and pretty just not as useful to me as the 72 for EDC.

Floyd, that's a nice looking knife! I may have one of those in my pile of new Case knives still in the box. ::hmm:: Never carried it if I do have one. That's why I enjoy used knives so much. For several years I've written the name of the "giver" on the boxes of a new knives I receive as a gift. Who knows, maybe give them back one day. ::shrug:: It's hard to mess up a new knife when there are enough great used ones to play with! Does that make any sense?
Your picture really rang my bell! ::tu:: I still have two lassos and use them in all sorts of ways even though we've been out of the cow business for close to 20 years. The stitching on the burner on one is about to give up the ghost, they are might handy to have in the truck and around the place. Years ago there was a western shop that had a roping pen and they always had a pile of used lariats, $3 each, those prices are long gone but the old nylon ropes are still being used!

Philip I sometimes drop a new one in my pocket but it is usually and old one. The rope came from the Tom Christian Ranch outside of Amarillo. It is a working ranch and also offers hunts. We used to go out for a Cowboy Breakfast they offered. Breakfast cooked over an open fire on the rim of Palo Duro Canyon. Great experience. They were selling some old ropes once and we thought one would make a good souvenir. The scene in the Indiana Jones movie where the ride off into the big orange sun was filmed on the ranch. But I ramble.

The postman braved the cold to bring me this Boker Solingen 4" Trapper with yellow bone covers. Very decent F&F; good snap. More photos will be posted on the Boker thread.

They pulled all the postal carriers off their routes early yesterday so even though this one was in town it didn't get delivered. I was too impatient to wait two more days for it so I drove down to the post office this morning and picked it up. Yeah, it's weird but I like it and besides, it's orange. It's 4½" closed. Smooth, easy opening and I'm not good with thumb studs. Benchmade Axis Lock type locking mechanism and very sharp. I think they said the handles are G-10. I think.

Bokers and Bulldogs are right up your alley. Good looking pickup. Those Germans are pretty handy. ::tu::

jerryd: If there's any kind of weight in the blade of that Ganzo Firebird, it looks like it would make a decent pocket meat cleaver...or perhaps even a small hatchet.

I'm no good with thumb studs, either...or nail nicks, for that matter (the folded business card method works best for me)...so I've always liked a thru-n-thru hole for opening--you'd think I'd be more into Spyderco knives, but their patterns just don't speak to me that much. Automatics and flippers also work for me but they don't usually come on the traditional patterns I prefer, either.

Anyway, despite the opening method or even the knife inside, it's hard to go wrong with an orange handle. ::tu::

Jerry it is different and it is orange and you can say you braved the winter of 2019 to pick it up so a winner all the way around. ::nod::

I was some concerned it would turn out to be a White Elephant but a few hours into having it in hand, so far that's not the case. I can easily see it prepping vegetables for a meal or cutting rope. ::shrug:: I'm sure not sorry I bought it.

~Q~ even if you were to have trouble with this thumb stud (which is way down on the probability list), the hole in the blade makes a mighty fine substitute for a nail nick. I tell ya buddy, this knife is as smooth as a cat's .......... Well you know what I'm getting at.

That is one of the reasons why i buy knives made in China. Whether a traditional style like Rough Rider or 'tactical' style like SanRenMu or Ganzo, etc. x many others, i never have felt let down. Usually they actually are a great knife and the few that are less than 'great' are still perfectly decent. As most of these China made knives are under $20 it is too little to get any sense of regret if you do happen to not 'connect' with the knife.
So to know how smooth Jerry's new Ganzo is, i have to catch a cat and rub his ...... ?
Maybe it's a local thing, but people i know with cats don't rub that part.

If you traded off your Dad I think you should have gotten at least two knives! My Dad is so grizzly I'd want at least three bayonets for him. OH
