Scott, that knife looks like us, older knife with character. I like it. Looks like a worker.

I’d had the Camillus TL-29 Electricians Knife for years and found the Boker Sidecutters at a flea market recently. All GI equipment and all I needed was a proper GI pouch. Charlie Noyes saw my questions in a recent Q&A forum post, he contacted me and offered to give me one that belonged to his Dad. It came this week; I just got all the pieces cleaned up and together- thanks Charlie, they all look great together! Bruce (OH)

Very good looking knife Scott. I collect vintage German knives but i have not seen "Lafayette Cutlery" before. Goins says this name was a trademark of Wiebusch & Higer and was used 1909 to 1921. Levine says W & H was an importer/wholesaler 1864 to 1928.
So your Lafayette knife is about 100 or more years old and condition looks good.

Went up to Cabela's in Hamburg, PA yesterday and picked up this Texas Jack, 62032 CV, in Amber Bone.
Really nice to be able handle three different ones and pick out the one you want.
I was bummed Cabela's had taken the wild game items off the menu -- elk and bison burgers, bison and gator brats. Settled for a bbq brisket sandwich. I was NOT impressed. Oh, well.
I'm starting to get into bird watching. The book is opened to the red bellied woodpecker. First one I can recall seeing.

Great Texas Jack Steve, always nice to be able to choose. You picked a knice one.
I enjoy birds too. Usually don't see unusual one here but I enjoy the common one too.

QS you picked up a jewel there. 5 blades and 5 etches, wow. Love those scales as well.
Steve who posted before you mentioned that he was getting into bird watching. I think that is one of your enjoyments as well isn't it?

We're pretty city-fied here where I live, so I was surprised to see the red bellied woodpecker.
Have several nature centers/parks close by to venture out into for some birding; lots of trails through the woods. Looking forward to it!

Bought this hoof knife off ebay the other day. The blade is marked I*XL but I don't think it original to the handle. Looks like it is held to the handle with braded nails. But I thought it pretty cool and like the fact someone improvised. Must have used it a lot as the handle is worn smooth.

Cool doglegg, never see stuff like that otherwise. Great shots with the gear too, looks like some very old antler. Very cool. Like seeing that kind of thing.

I think the handle is original but the pins do look to be old replacements

Sometimes you just can't let one lay there! This NOS Bear & Son Muskrat was layin' on the bottom of the bay, $15/free shipping. Had to rescue for that price.

espn77, I figured those ox bows would be right up your alley. We won them at an auction at a cowboy gathering one time. We've just used them as decoration. But I really do like them. Thanks.
Iman, Steve, thanks for the compliments. I appreciate them.
Miller Bros, it could well be the original handle. The repairs kind of add to it for me.. Thanks.

Don't blame you for grabbing that one Philip. That is a great little pocket knife complimented by the price. You did good.

Case trappers came in the mail today and helped me out with more hurricane clean up. Hated to see these big pines falling like dominos all over the place. Counted 59 rings on this tree.

The green one a mini trapper (07) and the other one a (54) full size trapper?
