Looks like I am not the only one who has a hard time smiling for the camera! This is me a week ago.

I'm in your boat Mel. Not a frequent smiler.

::tu:: dlr110, it seems all boot pictures look alike, from any company any year. I went to Great Lakes March '68. Very glad to see another Squid on here. We need to stay even with all those old Jarhead members.I was on Tincan DD786 and DE1064. ftd

Thanks, gentlemen! David, that’s a very nice shot of you, too.
I as going to go out with my buddy/brother-by-choice, Paul and help him do the ‘pics with a snake’ busking. He used to take his boa down to the tourist areas and charge about five bucks to let people get their pic taken with it. During our Olympics, he made $1100 one day! ::ds::
He’s also the frontman in our Alice Cooper tribute show.
He got a new ball python from my former boss yesterday so I got to go out and finally have a look at the new zoo, which they moved to after I left. It was great to see Gary and we stayed so long that we never did make it to the beach! I ended up going and horrifying my older son at the food truck fest. His girlfriend thinks I’m cool though!

Here are some old band shots. The big stage is at the Bell Centre here in Surrey. The couch shot is about 4:00AM in Medicine Hat Alberta. Yeah, that’s me on the back of the couch. ::woot:: I was the only sober one, but by that time of the night I was just goofy anyway!
These are all about seven or eight years ago.

Quick Steel - There is one thing that can make me smile.

Cool photos, Zoogirl. I like leather!

David - I like the boot camp photo. I was also at Great Lakes, in 1975. I would dig up my photo, but that would be like looking for something from the last millennium. Oh ... that would be from the last millennium ...

Mel I can understand why a fine string of fish would provoke a smile. For me, smiles are provoked by a string of babies or even one if it is laughing. Also, dogs, or Jimmy Cagney movies.

Mel, that's one nice stringer of fish there! That makes me smile...and they're not even mine! ::nod:: ::nod:: ::nod::

That is indeed a fine string of fish!
There are very few Cagney movies that fail to make me smile too, QS. When I heard that he had passed, I actually kicked a wall. Not sure which was worse! ::teary_eyes::

Yes, it ended with rather a bang, didn't it?! ::woot::
I love the Warner's gangster movies but one of my favourite Cagney movies is 'Captains Of The Clouds'. He plays a smart-alek Canadian bush pilot who ends up a fighter pilot in WW2. Alan Hale plays one of his buddies. It's a great little movie.

"Captains of the Clouds." Remember it well. A nice tip of the hat to Canada during wartime. A line from the film I've never forgotten. "Now there is a man who knows how to word an invitation." Said by Cagney listening on the radio to Churchill.

One of my favorite Cagney films is "Angels With Dirty Faces"

"Smart Money" was good too. James Cagney and Edward G. Robinson together! ::tu::
