All About Pocket Knives

These three were waiting for me today.
Possible Camillus (vendor says possible Keen Kutter, I disagree),

Any chance the slick black Camillus was rehandled? I have a Sword Brand/4-line "Streamline" serpentine jack with what appear to be identical handles and yet I've long assumed that it was an aftermarket rehandle because the only other similar knives I've seen are famously celluloid and often in the process of gassing out. I figured mine was rescued from gassing long ago and re-clad in slick black composition, but seeing your Camillus stock knife now I'm not so sure...

Hi T.B. I don't know much at all about pocket knives or any knives for that matter. I can't tell if this Camillus was re-handled or not. If it was, it was a good job. Here are some pictures. You guys be the judges.

Thanks for the photos, NWNY. There are things about both knives that make me think they might be rehandles, but neither was so expensive or so rare as to warrant a rehandle (certainly the profit margin would be slim, if any). This is a difficult coincidence to ignore, however.

At any rate, I'm a fan of how Camillus knives look in slick black. Wish there were more of 'em.

When I saw it, I knew I wanted it. I wanted it, so I got it. I got it and I like it.

This is a Bowen Stockman out of Atlanta but probably made by Queen in the 60s or 70s. Excellent condition; unused, good snap.
One curiosity is the tang stamps are upside down. N/S bolsters. The wood has a good appearance; there is some nice figure on one of the scales.

My Grandfather retired from Olin Brass in East Alton, Illinois. This Winchester commemorating the company landed in my mailbox today.

Anybody know what the "hth." in the second photo stands for?

Rick, I should know what that means. I have owned Olin stock for years and have read their annual reports, but I can’t remember what that stands for. I won’t be able to let it rest until I find out.
Here is one of three new ones that I got yesterday in the mail. Got these from Gary Kennedy. Love this one so much it’s rivaling my new love for the first Mcusta I got a few weeks ago. Including a picture at the end of the two together. The handles are made out of 33 layer Damascus. The blade has a core of VG-10 wrapped in San Mai.This basket weave design on the handle is over the top. The Japanese knife masters are incredible craftsmen.

Calcium hypochlorite . Olin is mostly known for their chemicals. Winchester is a brand that they have owned for many years. But if you read the annual reports, industrial chemicals are where they make their money. This is one of their major chemicals that they make. So not surprising to see it on there.
Had to refresh my memory, but that’s it.

Received these three this past Saturday.

I bought a GEC 14 in Snakewood. Ebay has several, which means that flippers got most of them. This was a SFO for DLT and only 100 made. I’m sure I paid way more than the original selling price. But when I saw it, I knew I had to have one.

These three arrived today.
1. German WW2 pocket knife.
2. Kutmaster.
3. Camillus Sword Brand.

I haven't done up a Ratcliffe in a while - this sloped bolster muskrat caught my eye ... I think the main reason I like this mod so much is the snap on the muskrats is nothing short of fierce on both blades. It's the only late model Case pattern that I've found that consistently has outstanding walk and talk.

Today's knife word is C-A-M-I-L-L-U-S. These 2 arrived today.
