These 3 got here today, the Dogleg Jack has some pretty fat stag!! (check GEC mail call thread)
I purchased the Dogleg for EDC.................just needs a couple mods.

Ramrod - I am gonna have an EO notch added. Maybe some grooves on top of first part of main, and

Couple of older Case rolled in the last couple days. First up is a 1970 cheetah. Next is a 65-69 era cheetah. Last is a 65-69 era 63087.

Look what the postal lady brought today. As you can see, it's a GEC Courthouse Whittler in stag. Thank you very much On Edge!!!!!! I liked the pictures but I love the real thing. Wow!!! It may take a while to wipe the smile off my face. You have to handle this knife to understand when I say the hand feel is superb.

This is an early birthday present to me from me. (next month) I'm such a generous fella. Thank me very much, I love what I gave me. (knife guys have to do this kind of thing to get what they really want)

I picked up a couple new ones this week.
First is a Schrade 41OT, the Maverick bird & trout pattern.
It was only made from 1971-1973, so they are pretty hard to find.
The second is a great EDC. I have been carrying it since I opened the package.
It is a Kershaw #1430, Wild Turkey with titanium frame & ATS34 blade.
It was used and had scratches but that was OK with me as I bought it for EDC.
I have carried this customized Wild Turkey (#1450) for several years, every since I put the new handles on it. I love the shape & size of the knife but have not been able to find a 1980s Wild Turkey, which had AUS-8A blade steel IIRC. The newer ones have AUS-6 steel and it does not have the edge retention of the AUS-8A, OMHO.
So for now I will carry both a 1430 & a 1450.

Is it possible to carry too many knives, (as long as you can keep your pants up)?

I have decided ones generosity with ones self is directly related to who pays the bills. In my case it's me and my generosity is limited only by my ability to pay on the day of reckoning. I'm single so my day of reckoning is on the bill due date and not when the knife shows up in the mailbox. I never have anything critical to say to myself about how much I spend on me. Over the years, my lady friend has occasionally attempted to insert herself in my finances as a decision maker and several times I've had to gently remind her it's none of her bloody business how much I spend nor on what. You married guys don't have that luxury. That's why you get socks and ties.
