What are the dimensions on that Lil' beaut?

Edit: Do you know where C-Tek originated? Aerospace manufacturing, and then marine industries. It was originally Titanium honeycomb, and today it is everything from HDPE to Graphine.
I wonder exactly what Bark River uses?

3in blade 6 3/4 oal I cant answer where C-Tek originated.. Sorry.. This is a nice little knife.. Fills my hand and slices like a razor.. John

That is a very nice knife! I own two Barkies and they have cracked the code; excellent fixed blades.

Used this lately getting fires started in the wood stove. Eats wood for lunch. Chops and splits great.

While this may not be an expensive collectible, it is one heck of a nice little skinner to me.
It's a Damascus skinner from Pakistan.

I don't use my knives but I do sample the edge on every knife I buy.
Take the nice design, and VERY nice handles... Throw them away for the price,

It's not a great/cool knife but I like it. That makes it cool

Sorry this is a unique custom made by Jörg Schneider in Germany. I found it used at egun.de.

Ken, knifers tend to dismiss all Pakistan made knives as 'junk' just like we used to do for knives made in China. Well, now China made knives can be high end and it is only time before some of the Pakistan knife makers begin to turn out quality knives. It likely is happening already but if so i know of no way to tell which ones might have good steel.

Posted elsewhere but this one belongs here too. Saw similar models on line and was attracted to the overall form of the knife. This is a Case Model 63-5 5 inch blade. Also came with a 6 inch blade. Greenbone scales. Made in the late 30's I think. This one has a slightly different guard shape than other I've seen. The chrome plate is scratched but still there, full or nearly full blade. Bone is in fantastic shape. The original sheath was with it. Local gunshow seller.

steve99f, Congratulations on an exceptionally interesting knife acquisition. Very neat, especially that bone handle.

Thanks QS. The jigged bone scales were part of the attraction for me. Checking into another reference book, I may have gotten the model number wrong. The model number shown in the original post is from the Ferguson book from the 70's. I recently bought Sargent's Knives & Razors including Sheath Knives, 4th Edition, published in 1995 and it shows different model numbers. I need to study them some more.

I suppose you would call this a fixed blade.
I can't think of a more fitting name for it.
This is a recent FleaBay purchase, and there is a name on the right side of the blade.

This knife has a "bell tone" when struck, and I could swear that it is steel from a ball bearing.
It has a unique feel to the edge that is scary sharp, just as I received it.
Now I found a knife maker/blacksmith named John Thompson who owns a company called Dwarf Mountain. He is basically a sword maker but he has several rough forged items on his web site that are close enough to this knife to possibly be his.

I sent off some pictures, and an email to see if this is indeed one of his knives.
I'll let you all know when I get an answer...
