Mailman brought this little cutie today. Paint on the metal handles looks like it hadn't been toted a lot, guess it could be a repaint . If I read the Hammer Brand date chart right it was made between '45 and '55 pretty cool little shell handle knife that could be 73 years old, hey that's the same age as me but I ain't in as good of shape. Yeah I know I'm bottom feeding again but this knife probably didn't cost a quarter when new.

Came to this thread late in the evening. So much to like here. Love that honeycomb, and the Marbles Hunter and on and on. Congrats to all of you.

Nothing wrong with that, I have a number of similar imperial and hammer brand knives. They are good, practical, get the job done, and don't cost a lot.

Gino, I really like that one. I have a thing for Warnecliff blades. I think every knife should have at least one Warnecliff blade on it. That looks very useful.

That's a larger honeycomb pattern than I've seen before but I believe the material is called C-tek. The red reminds me of the pomegranates we'd get around Christmas time when I was a kid.

Okay I’m officially on the hunt for more of these honeycomb knives. I am definitely getting one of the Bokers. I like the red, but I like that blue too. WIsh they had this in a green, like hunter green or similar color.

Beautiful! I didn't know Schrade made anything with C-tek. Your knife also has me wondering why the C-tek slabs on my Boker aren't pinned on. I had assumed it was because of the nature of the C-tek material but that's obviously not the case.

That knife is a custom by Herman...Schrade didn't use C-tek. Jantz Supply carries it in several colors, including green

Herman Williams did that 51OT. The scalloped handles and clipped blade really change the look.

Kind of a dreary day until the mail arrived. First up is a gunboat, i.e. a Canoe Whittler from RR. Kind of heavy but it will display nicely.



Next is a Camillus Canoe. Then a formidable 5 1/4" Bulldog Anglo Saxon Whittler from 1998. This series has outstanding F&F with half stops on all blades. I have another from the series enroute.

You go Garry. Nice haul buddy.


The mail in Rockford was a little bit different. At least she came at her normal time and not late.

Canoe, whittler and a Canoe whittler, QS that needs to be spread over several days. Cool stuff.

A L.V. Knife Assn whittler. I have another one of their knives and was impressed with it so I got it a mate.
And an Old Cutler that it appears an aspiring knife mechanic did a little file work on. Didn't add to the value as I got it under $20. But good steel and I like OC's so a couple that need a little flitz and wax.

doglegg, sweet swell center sheep foot whittler. One of my favorite patterns. Little Valley did it right. And looks like Elephant grain in that scale material too, good score, got one past the ivory Gestapo. Yeah!!!!
