Just picked this one up on eBay last week, came in the mail today. Russell Green River Works sawcut brown bone Congress. This one’s a keeper. Although I am getting a lot of Congresses in my collection. May have to sell off some one day. When I do it will be some really nice pieces. Have Case, Boker, Hen and Rooster, J.A. Henckels, Winchester, Queen, Schatt and Morgan, Robeson and now Russell Green River Works.
Are there any others I should be adding to this Congress collection?
Mark

Y'all have kept the mailman busy! Mighty fine knives all around. These came while we were gone for a few days, 2 #10 Queens, grandson material, birthdays coming up. These came from bdev, including a little bonus. :)

Thanks,
Mark

"Bottom Feeders" often do seem to pick up some pretty decent knives, that I can't deny (at least the ones that are shown here). However, being a "Top Feeder" has it's advantages as well. Sometimes you just gotta throw caution to the wind, recklessly indulge and treat yourself to the sweet sweet taste of luxury. ::nod::

Don't know anyone that would equate you to a bottom feeder Q. Tell us a little about this one. Great scales. ::tu:: ::tu::

Make no mistake about it, Floyd...I do a fair amount of bottom feeding, too (mostly in the mini trapper department).

This Gnarly Stag handled beauty is a Lone Wolf Paul "Slim Jim" (pre-Benchmade era). Kind of rare, limited to 225 pieces, and a model I've been searching for (that I could afford) for a long time to add to my Lone Wolf Paul Collection.

I really like the axial button lock mechanism on the Paul knives. Not only does it lock the blade in both the open and closed positions, but it's much easier (and safer) to open---for me, anyway. I have never accidentally cut any fingers when using an axial lock to open or close the blade, unlike the numerous times I've injured myself opening a slipjoint knife using a nail nick.

Great knives, high quality construction, top shelf materials...usually kind of pricey, but worth every penny IMO. This one I managed to score for a relatively good deal, all things considered, so I am very pleased with it.

The Paul appealed to me the first time I saw one. Hind sight being 20-20, I sure wish I had picked one up when they were affordable. Oh well, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride.

I thought Marines could live on bugs & worms? Sushi is very tasty - but I'm spoiled - the West Coast has some of the best sushi anywhere. I once made the mistake of going to a sushi restaurant in Kansas. After that I instituted a rule that I will only eat sushi in cities that are no more than an hour's drive to an ocean.

Haven’t purchased a recently manufactured Case in a while, but discovered a Case pattern I was unaware of; the 27 penknife in a Stockman pattern. Picked it up last week. OH
