Thanks for the ID Greg. Great knife.
Just picked this up in a trade with Justin. What a great old knife it is. Great snap and stag speaks for itself. Has alot of old school soul to it. Seeing pocket time now and will see a lot more. Like to carry stag when I venture outdoors. If you needed to remove your fingerprints which I did partially testing the sharpness, this is the knife.

Jerry that's a great old trapper. I am sure Justin is ecstatic with his end of the deal, whatever it was. You own some of the finest knives I have seen and a compliment from you on one of my knives really puts a skip in my step. I got the 6151L that I got from you out today and fondled it a bit. Still can't believe I own that beauty.

Thanks for the compliments my friend. You are really picking up some good ones. So glad you treasure the 51. Means a lot to me that you have and appreciate it. A great old knife. Funny, I have never regretted we letting one go based on that.
Spoke to Justin via phone and text, good guy for sure. He has yet to receive his half of the deal but as always, if he is not happy I will make it right. Delivery is tomorrow. Hopefully he is happy with his knife.

I don't want to seem ungrateful concerning new knives gifted to me. I do appreciate each and every one I've received over the years but I really, really appreciate receiving what is known here at AAPK as a HOK (honest old knife).
Here is a Case XX/U.S.A. 2 dot 61011 that my son gave me this afternoon. As you can see it is well used. The hawkbill point is gone and there is some pitting on the blade. One neat thing to me is the knife was made the year our son was born, 1978.
Playing with this one, I found the strongest spring tension I have ever encountered in a knife! Is this common to this pattern? It would make sense for it to be quite strong as the stated use is pruning limbs and also as a linoleum knife. Since the point is worn down, I imagine this was once used to cut floor coverings, vinyl, carpet, and such. This one snaps so hard that I will have to be extra careful playing with it. I can't imagine having it close on a finger or two and trying to open it with your free hand

. Thank goodness it has a half stop position!

Phillip those are great knives. I've got an old 61011
And the spring tension is unbelievable. It must be a built-in characteristic of that pattern.

Justin, glad you are happy with it my friend. Your pics are way better than mine were. Carry in good health and happiness.

Some great knives being posted, thanks!
My latest was new in January of 2015 an came to me this week from CK. Admired this for months, was going to get it Cabela's but they didn't have one in the case when we went and you couldn't order?! Did better at CK anyway. Fine people to do business with BTW.

Thanks John. How's that mini trapper treating you.
My pics of that knife suck. Here are Justin's pics on this post. Carried it everyday since I got it. And since I passed out in my jeans last night, I did sleep with it.
Hope life is well my friend. Jerry

Some real beauties posted here lately. I've been negligent checking on this thread lately, but y'all been doing real good!
Steve, I'm not much into newer knives but that mini-trapper is a real looker. Some of the bonestag has a real stag look.

Thanks Ken. I really like the 07 pattern for its size, just fits well in the hand. The Case bone stag 6.5 handles are attractive. Would love to see this pattern revert back to a clip and a pen blade but I think that train left the station a while ago.
