Very nicely done Nev. I think if I had done it I would have applied a darker stain, but that's just a matter of personal taste...

I did not what to start a new post just for this knife. Back at the beginning of this post Jeff gave me a box of beater knives to learn on. There was an old Remington knife that had broken blades and no handles, but I really liked the shape of the knife, so I put it to the side. I found a Queen blade that was the same Tang thickness and length looked good, so I installed it in the Remington and put on bone handles. I really like it. Just wanted to share.

What pattern is that bone? It has a very retro look to it, like some of the older plastic handles (only better!)

I'm liking the dark rich color of the covers, not to mention their deep jigging. I'm not a fan of clip-blades, but I can say, it looks very good on your knife. Beautiful work, as usual! Re: Giving knife repair a try.

I just wanted to post one last time on this thread. I just finished these two knives. One in stag the other in bone. I look back from when I 1st started this thread. I can see a lot of improvement in the knives and my workmanship. I can only thank all the people on this sight that have given me advice and encouragement. Thank you all for the help.
