Here is a Clauss and a Robeson.
Jtx, those are two fine looking knives. I'm just a little partial to the Robeson EO.
Ohh...

Nice!!!

Antique Amber Jigged Bone (on Case 6207W & 6107W Mini Trappers)
Amber bone is conspicuously absent from my collection. I may have to rectify that. Most excellent bones, Q...y'all are simultaneously bad and good for me!

WOW !!
jmh58, I love the look of the top knife. Don't think I have seen a "shield" done in that manner.
It would be killer on a shadow bone knife (no bolsters)

In some of the early dyed bone , the dye didn't have much staying power. I've had a Holley very similar to the Southington.
1. Lennox Whittler Germany
2.Southington
The Wester Bros. is faded more as shown on mark side , but still not richly dyed as seen on pile side.
3 & 4. Wester Bros.
This Ulster has similar jigging to the Southington and Holleys. Mark faded. Most of these are pre 1900 I believe.
5. & 6. Old Ulster
7. A F Shapleigh DE made by Empire.
