I don't know how I missed this thread for so many months. I think these blue knives are sensational.

So my lovely wife did a nice thing for me. I lost my mom about a month ago, 9 days shy of her 100th Birthday. We cared for her for almost 18 years. She had dementia and later alzheimers. Her favorite color was blue, so my wife bought these for me as a remembrance of her. They are NOS from 2017. My mother always loved looking at my blue pocket knives and a few blue watches that I have. We will miss my mom greatly, but it softens the blow a little to know that I have such a great wife..

What a great story and legacy. It never ceases to amaze me how much a knife or knives can mean to someone. Thank you for sharing this.

Absolutely correct Kerry, you have a great wife who's also feeling the loss of your Mom so perhaps you should do somethin' nice for her too! Such a thoughtful heartfelt gift she bought you, and done so with such fine taste in knives ta boot! Your new knives are keepers, your old wife is a DEFINITE keeper! Hang in there buddy, this too shall pass! 8)

Got this Rough Rider in today. Saw this blue and gold lip pearl on this copperhead and decided I had to have it for my collection. I don’t make it a habit to buy many knives made in China but this one is the exception. The fit and finish are excellent and as you can see it’s a beauty.

Very nice blue sowbelly Kerry.
Thanks for the compliments on the “blue ocean”. I just ordered all the other patterns made with this handle material. Looks like I will have some more to post when they arrive.

Thanks Mark. It was a Birthday Present from my wife. She's the best! The Rough Rider knives are amazing, especially for the money. I really like the handle pattern. You'll have a good time collecting those.

So many beautiful knives, but never too many. Mark, has Case been upping their game recently or am I just behind the times?

Garry, I do think they have been making some very special knives for the last couple of years. I’ve always tried to only buy Case knives that are very limited in production and the short runs seem to be several notches above the ones done in the past.
