Bryan and All,
First - thanks to all involved for the knife giveaway. It was a real treat to receive it; made even more special by the circumstances and a couple of odd coincidences.
I was admitted into our local hospital last Friday and was diagnosed with a rather serious disorder. In the course of just a few hours I learned I was seriously ill, began treatment, and needed to visit the Mayo Clinic ASAP. Bummer! It was one of those challenging life situations we'd all love so much to avoid, but never can, of course. I was feeling just a wee bit sorry for myself when my wife came to the hospital room with my mail. On top was the box with the Giveaway knife, and when I opened the package, the first thing I saw was the Case Brothers knife box with the motto, "The Dawn of a Better Day Breaketh."
It also happened to be the very hour I had been scheduled to leave for the Sturgis, SD bike rally, and I was pretty sad about being in a hospital room instead of on the road. The winning number for the knife...805... I had picked the model number of my motorcycle.
I think that pretty new Case Whittler is going on a car trip to Rochester MN. And I won't even care if the box gets a little scuffed along the way.
