Dimitri, nice knife, TJ is your's a schrade? here are afew of mine. , sorry about the schrade shown twice on this thread, sometimers must be kickin in!

Here is a nice little Wesky bird & trout I picked up a couple years ago.
Goins dates it 1946-1952. They were made in Sandusky Ohio. Here is a nice Marbles Longhorn I picked up at the OKCA show this year. This Western T39 was one I got at the OKCA show this year as well. This knife was made by a friend of my dad named Glen Hoffman. Glenn was a millwright in a sawmill.
For those of you unfamiliar with the duties of a millwright, they are pretty much a jack of all trades which includes making metal parts, welding, heat treating and sometimes even forging metal. If a piece of equipment in a sawmill breaks, it's the millwrights that fixed it even if they have to make the part.

Here's a Case 523-6 that's got some years on it but no wear at all. Check it out.

Nice Stag

This is an UH167 Uncle Henry filet knife made by Schrade U.S.A. that a friend gave me for my 35th birthday, 25 years ago It sure has seen it's share of Great Lakes salmon and trout eggs over the years

Great to see BHK getting some love.. I have 3 and they are a VERY well made USA knife and LT and the gang are super to deal with!!

If any one wants a well built knife at a very reasonable price I HIGHLY reccomend BHK!! I do plan on adding a few more to the corral!!! John

I hope this is American made, not sure who made it...has a interesting stamp and etch.

I like that turn-of-the-century knife a lot. I think I read something about the crucible steel by Bernard Levine, perhaps in his 4th edition. Very nice knife!

Camillus made those for Sears & Roebuck, I have had several over the years, they take a good edge like all old Camillus knives do.

Is that top knife a Utica/Kutmaster?
I have one just like it, no tang stamp but it has an etch on the blade that says, UTICA/KUTMASTER.


Here is a fixed blade of mine, an Al Mar SERE; the first of his SERE knives. As you can see it is #43/200. It was #43 of the first 200 made. After seeing these scans I think I need to take some decent pics of this magnificent knife.
It deserves far better than these quick scans!

In regards to your question, Yes I believe that top knife I posted to be a Utica Sportsman, that seems to be the general consensus reached in the thread that I started about my picking up those two knives....

I thought I'd add this little Kutmaster bird & trout knife to the thread. I really like this one, great patina and takes a wicked edge....
3 1/2" blade 6 3/4" overall
I scored this one from Scott a while back....would still love to find a sheath for it if anyone has one!

Here's one I just received that fits this category!

Etch reads "Red River Knives" also says on blade "A division of Cold Steel Carbon V Made in USA"

This one is known as the Elk Skinner, and was part of a series of knives made by Cold Steel in the early to mid '90's as reproductions of old fur trapper patterns, copies of the Russell Harrington patterns long established in their Green River lineup.

The sheath is original to the knife, handles are hickory, and the blade is just shy of 6 inches...and with that Carbon V steel it takes quite an edge too!

This is the Camillus model of BK&T.
