Nice bone on that Hammer Brand Rex, beautiful knife. Wondered why I never see $2 bills in circulation. Someone must be hoarding them. Hmmmm.

Hey Q, that is one of the best looking Seahorses I've ever seen, don't make them with antler like that anymore it seems. Great foursome of Stag there. All four beauties.

Sweet group Q, that bottom Abalone Seahorse has what looks like a skull to me about half way between the shield and the small bolster, I can see two eye sockets, twin nasal holes, and jaw bone looking area. Very cool. Great group. Funny seeing the ivory again, love that shark and the walrus tooth face.

Here's an old Schatt and Morgan Titusville sleeve board whittler I have in my pocket today...one blade is broke off unfortunately, but the other two are solid and I love that old bone. An HOK for sure. Anyone have any idea on an approximate year on this one?

Two whittlers to contribute to this thread right now… I have maybe 4 whittlers but 2 are celluloid - shown below… while I do like the look of celluloid in some cases I have mixed feelings about buying celluloid covers (as do some…)… I try to get pics of the celluloid in case of the celluloid “poof” phenomena

Winchester Whittler 3046 (technically Winchester called these Jr Stockman Whittlers) – Horn celluloid handles – 3 & 3/8” closed… blades pretty full, nice etch, tight and good snap…. Interestingly it is a split spring design with a nickel silver wedge and liners…
Remington Whittler R6755 – Fancy celluloid scales (actually quite like them – 3 & 1/8” closed – Pretty full blades, tight and good snap,… brass liners and wedge… Note – In Ritchie and Stewart book the R6755 has the same exact scales and blades – but the book lists the pattern as 3 & ½” and with a federal shield… this one is slightly shorter, no shield and no signs of ever having a shield …

This is my 2014 workhorse/Seahorse for it's rock solidness all the way around, love the shape, style, thick main blade, tight smooth action, and great low maintenance "as ground" SS blades.

Ivoryman - I have one of those as ground Seahorse whittlers. I have noticed that I can grab the wharncliffe blade between finger and thumb and open it as I would a hawkbill. I cannot do that with my polished Seahorses, and that is my favorite thing about the as ground version. I agree that it is a solid knife, though I still prefer the polished version.

Here are a couple of photos of five whittlers with my favorite body shape and my favorite size (3 3/4" to 4"). I spend a lot of time agonizing over whether I like a clip or a wharncilffe blade best for the main blade. Right now I am leaning toward clip, but I know that I am just one beautiful wharncliffe away from changing my preference. It is kind of sad for a man to be so fickle.

Dinadan, that just means you have broadened your sense of appreciation to realize beauty or function in different blades and like more than one. Whatever blade you like is the one for you.

More beautiful knives, I like the warnie blades also.

Ivoryman - that sounds like sound advice until one realizes that a whittler can have only one master blade! I try to get around that by carrying two whittlers, often a Case Seahorse and a Craftsman with a clip master blade. This knife is my latest Craftsman addition. The handles are Delrin, but pretty nice for a user.

Hey that's a nice one you don't see every day Dinadan, some of the best looking Delrin I've seen period. Great one flute bolsters too. Loved a lot of Craftsman tools over the decades.
