Looks great! I have a close pattern that was one of the Irish-made Imperials, ca. 1980s (it was made around the time the V-22 Osprey was being developed in its early stages, as it's what the knife advertises). The Mexican pattern appears just a bit better made. It has a real awl too--not a Wharncliffe pen blade masquerading as such.
Hi Cody. Check this out, it's all about Schrade/Imperial in Mexico.

Klein (Ibberson) Sheffield Hawkbill (1550-24). Been really wanting to try it, since Sheffield-made knives aren't easy to find in the States. Counting both a heavy (Black Friday, most likely) discount on Amazon, and card rewards, I was able to get it for less than $10. Normally, they're about $30.

I know the stainless used is a bit on the soft side, but the handle looks extremely comfortable with extended use.

I can't wait to get this one!
Most Eye Brands are going for more than I'm willing to pay, but I think I lucked out on this one.
It's a 1984 Texas Knife Collectors Eye Brand 5.25" Moose. ::ds::

Thanks,
Keith

Just picked up from Sharp N' Shiny knives.
A very very very good lookin', GEC #62 Maverick, 22 of 25, from 2012 ::super_happy:: . I was hooked on this one the moment I saw it. I guess I could call the coloring of the bone "rootbeer jigged" ::shrug:: , I guess i'll go look at GEC's production charts for the correct naming. Other then that totally stoked, just a 3 week wait ahead of me ::paranoid:: .
Edit: That was a lot easier then I thought I would be :D . It's proper term; "Tidioute #621312 Maverick (Easy Pocket Congress) Autumn Leaf Clawed Bone".

Well, it will be as soon as Risner ships. I was going to pass on this one even though I have a mega Jones for that wrench shield, but then I got the email that Risner had them and I found one with handles that suit my fancy, sooooooo.................... Well, I'm among friends and y'all know the words to that song. It should be here by the weekend even with Thanksgiving blocking out one shipping day.

I'm super happy for ya that you managed to snag one Jerry ::ds:: . TPK is one my favorite dealers, but it's next to impossible for me to snag new releases from him :( .
But it's awesome that so many people like doing business with him, customer service and good attitude in business is everything ::tu:: ::tu:: .

Here's one coming in - a Bx49R, made in 1936. The pictures in the fleabay auction weren't very good, but good enough for me to identify it, after getting the measurements and clarification on handle material from the seller. Doesn't show up in the 1941 catalog pages, so there was probably only a single run made. OAL 7-7/8" BL 3-7/8" Bakelite handle segments, nickle-silver, black and red fiber discs.

I just bought this beauty. Yes, it's another Camillus 72 variation. It's a Hollinger Fremont Ohio, 3 blade "whittler" and it has gimped liners. I can't wait to receive this one. I'll give it the once over, but it looks like it's in great condition. When I receive it, I'll post my pictures in the appropriate location(s). These are the seller's pictures.

Got up in the middle of the night and placed orders for these two. I've developed a fascination with the "cigar band" knives. I'm just iffy with the bottom one and hoping it will look better in hand. It's not bad but neither is it great. I guess I'm just a little on the plus side of ambivalent. ::shrug::

Stock pictures. (no shirt)

Bear and Sons 232R penknife. Other than a Remington Small Trapper, I do not own a Bear and Sons traditional knife. Bought this to try out. The Remington is pretty danged good; but I give that to the fact that they seem to try better on stuff they make for other companies on contract.

Joker NV76 "Outdoor Pocket Knife" 9cm. Made in Albacete, Spain. Yet another low-cost ($15 for a 4.5" closed/9cm knife is pretty cheap in my mind) European brand I'm trying. Steel is carbon steel, and they don't specify the type. Hopefully, it's a proper choice for a blade. I know the Italians can make a great sub-$20 knife. I have several $5 and $10 Antonini that function like they should, under heavy abuse.

Another knife I've been looking for a long time. USSR Navy knife. Not perfect, but even in Russia is difficult to find in good condition.

I've not even seen that one before! I thought the "Russian Navy" knife was simply a hawkbill. Or, at least that's what the surplus dealers have been selling them as.

Cody, there were hawkbills in the Soviet army but not fot the navy. They were part of the sanitary kits. Designed for easy cutting bandages and clothes.
