Here's my little tribute to Celtic lore....Although I am pretty certain the ancient Celts did not have Russlocks the inlaid designs are intended to depict Celtic style. I don't know the symbolism of the sword and rose on the pile side, but the interlocking "Celtic knot" style of the Seahorse on the mark side is obvious.

Beautiful knife. I do not recognize the symbolism either. That is definitely the most intriguing Ruslock that I have seen!

I've been a bit under the weather, it's rained frequently, and I've had to catch up on yard work. All of which have contributed to my not taking any photos for a few days so here are a couple from the archive. Hope you enjoy them.

Great pic Q! Beautiful knife and I love the totem/tiki heads.

It's raining here again, these pics are from our walk yesterday. I'm still trying to perfect getting foreground and background both in focus at the same time with only limited success.

I like the light contrast in your second photo, Squach, with the foreground illuminated against the dark forest in the background....very dramatic

Steve, although I can see how it would be easy to misinterpret my photo as a brutal representation of violence, it's actually not as diabolical as it may appear. The knife is supposed to be the horn protruding from the head of a magical, mythical "unicorn man." So, you see, it's light and whimsical not heavy and dark at all

Fingers, I like your clever interpretation I wonder if I could license it to the makers of Tylenol for use in pain relief marketing campaigns

Steve, I know when I look at recent pictures of myself, ... I can see that I do in fact, look a little bit older... But I still feel that I have a few good years left .... before I completely turn into dust...
