Me? What about ~Q~? He's the one that had to put an addition on his house just to store all his 07's.

Now that you have one, you're going to want more. It's a good thing there are plenty of them out there. I dread the day when Greg takes a liking to them.

Sir are you insinuating that I might be a little hoggish when I take a liking to a pattern. If so I resemble that statement. :D

TwoFlowersLuggage wrote:...a plea to all knife sellers: PLEASE do not use those "Ready Post" envelopes that have a lining of pulverized recycled paper fluff. When you stick a knife in that bag, it literally explodes that @#$%&! fluff all over the room. I HATE THOSE THINGS!!!
TFL--the trick to opening those mailers is quite simple: slice along the end where the flap folds over to make the seal...there's none of that recycled paper material in that area so it will not make a mess...also, it allows you to re-use the mailer for shipping by re-sealing the cut-opened end with a piece of duct tape.

jerryd--the addition I had to add to my home in order to accommodate my 07 collection has had an unintended consequence. Now that I have all this extra space, I've fallen off the 07 wagon and returned to accumulating even more Mini Trappers with reckless abandon. I fear my wife is on the verge of issuing an ultimatum and I'll be forced to choose between my truly beloved...or her! ::undecided::

Q: I'm more of a 200 lb gorilla when I get a package - I tend to jam the knife in and rip in a random direction like a barbarian invader finding a tent full of the old King's daughters...

I understand the compulsion, in fact, I used to open packages the same way. But after inadvertently carving a gouge in a pristine MOP Koji Hara, I decided there had to be a better way. Now I open packages with the scalpel-like precision of a brain surgeon.

OUCH, that sucks Q!

I just got this one in. It has an SAK feel to it. Seems well built, even has a removable/reversible pocket clip.

That was certainly true of the #72. I now have 3...

I am so, so happy I accumulated most of my collection of 72's and clones before this bunch of greedy guts started snatching them up. ::poke::

I'm a bit more particular when I open packages because except for the Priority Boxes, I reuse most of what I get. I use the tools shown below (in order of preference from top to bottom) to open the box or envelope and when I need packaging, I use a hairdryer to loosen the label/tape adhesive and just peel it off. With the padded envelopes I staple the open end back together and use packing tape to cover the staples and seal the envelope. Works great. That's just the way I do it. Your mileage may vary.

Good acquisition Ken. I like the looks of the Skyline but I wish it had SpeedsafeĀ®. I'm a SpeedsafeĀ® addict.

My first Maher & Grosh arrived. "Custer's Favorite Hunting Knife." 5" closed with a blade of 4 1/8. Well done. Then came the 125th Case Anniversary knife in olive green bone, which I find appealing.

Greg, I love that display case. Very classy. I wouldn't mind having a few more. ::nod:: I have English Jacks in mine. I guess I could stuff some Mini-Trappers in one.

Jerryd I got that one From S&D in Ohio. It doesn't come with any way to hang it on the wall. $66 shipped though so it's reasonable. I need about 5 more and I will gain a little shelf space I think. ::nod::
