Hello All. Still alive. Hope to visit and contribute more often. My camera resolution is a work in progress. Can't post pics from my phone but had a friend take some pics of my new friend I picked up Saturday. Her name is Elsa and she is a very sweet dog. I am blessed.
Zero clue why but I could not shake a haunting thought that I need a giant dog breed.
Maremanno-Aburezze Sheepdog, Great Pyrenees, Anatolian and Akbash. Four big flavors of sheepdog. She is a sweetheart. She is really mellow.
Regards all. Hope life finds you well. Jerry

Wow what a beautiful pup. You do'od good congrats x 10. They do have a tendency to get large, there is several in my area all guarding livestock, mostly goats. Buddy of mine had one with his goats said it was absolutely fearless.

Thanks bighomer! Best wishes and thoughts for a speedy and full recovery for Sissy.
As for Elsa, no illusion she will be small. Definitely a great protection breed mix. Think lean and tall based on what her parents looked like. Regardless, she is a joy to me. She loves it outside and my fenceless great existing mutt is reluctantly helping to show her the ropes.
Best to you and yours. Jerry

Good looking pup Jerry! We have two Great Pyrenees with our goats. They’re big fluffy mild mannered babies that love to play. They’re real gentle giants. That is until a critter that isn’t the goats or the chickens comes in the field. Then they’re absolutely ferocious. They let the goats boss them around, but foxes or stray dogs, etc don’t last long if they get near the goats. They’re amazing dogs.

This is Griffin, he just got back from the Vet. He hasn't eaten since Sunday afternoon and drank very little water. He has been just lying around doing nothing. The Doctor said he has a respiratory infection, a sore throat and swollen glands.
He got a shot and some other meds to help him with the infection and to get his appetite back. But right now all he wants to do is sleep.

That's sweet. They put sissy to sleep to change cast and she

snoozes the rest of the day big time. She's going down on a Heavenly ham bone as I hunt and peck.

Sorry to hear that David. I'll say a prayer for Griffin tonight.

Nice picture Joe!

How much longer will she need the cast?

She goes to have it checked and changed if need tomorrow, he said Last Friday that she has a nice talus built up and that we are getting to the end of the casts. Thank goodness for her mostly, but the boss and me too.
We already thought the world of her when she used to visit and let us spoil her, but we grown to

her even more. It's going to be interesting when she gets back on her own.

Beautiful animals, It amazing how attached they can become to one another. My ole dog and the pup from next door became so close they seemed to attached at the hip. When he had to be put down she grieved and looked everywhere for him.
