Very true Jerryd. I may not have even been close. That sure was a good looking knife though.

Just in from an AAPK store, 3.25 inches of pearly goodness.

Got two in today's mail. These were both cheap (my favorite kind!) The Queen jack was misrepresented - it was listed as a "VINTAGE QUEEN 40s-50s? 2-Blade Peachseed Bone" - yeah - not so much on the "peachseed bone", but I *think* it is from the 1950's and they got the "2-Blade" part right... I already knew that when I bought it, and I decided to buy it anyway as an HOK Queen. I bought the Camillus pen because the primary blade is marked as a "Sword Brand", and I hadn't previously seen a small pen marked that way. Most of the "Sword Brand" knives I have seen were either lockbacks, trappers or stockman patterns. The small blade is marked with the typical Camillus tang stamp I have typically seen on these small pens.

Am I just showing my ignorance on that small pen??

The Crown over "Q" tang stamp dates that Queen circa 1945-55. It's probably a 1950's knife. Tell me what it measures and I'll tell you the pattern number.

If it has the 4 line stamp on both blades it would be 1919-41.

bdev, I thought the sideways crown over Q was 1952-55? It is 3.25" closed, so I was assuming it is a #2, correct?

Greg, it has the 4 line on the secondary, but Sword Brand on the primary. The chart I saw said that would be 1941-46? Would this be a #42? Or are the older patterns a different number?

The mail carrier brought me a couple of Camillus from the 22 Rimfire series in the 1990s. They were a little rough but cleaned up nicely. The What-A-Knife jack pairs up nicely with the one I already have that sports a screwdriver/cap lifter secondary. All nice and cheap, just like I like 'em.

Glad you got those two little rimfire knives Jerry. I was watching and then let the time get away. So I am glad they got a loving home. Good for you.

My Imperial Navy General Utility knife showed up a few minutes ago.....
Not in too bad of a shape.... The "USA" tang stamp is real weak but it's there.
Should clean up nicely....

Mike those imperials have some great steel that gets super sharp

Three Stockmans arrived today. 1. The first is a Roper brand from AG Russell, one of his China made. It is a small gem with jigged bone and 1065 steel. Very good F&F. 2. Also from AGR is a large Stockman with yellow delrin handles. F&F is just fair but has good walk and talk.
3. Back in the 70s Parker brought out the American Eagle dedicated to various heroes. My blade inscription is for Nathan Hale. These somewhat limited editions were made by Schrade Walden. The handle is smooth wood. All blades have half stops. I expect this one to get a lot of pocket time.

Scott, those big ole unapologetic work knives have an appeal that is hard to resist. They look like a knife your boys would carry on a mission and leave a lot of work in their wake. They only fit calloused hands.

Speaking of Scott,

I bought a Sears (not Craftsman) medium jack from him and of course, Scott being Scott he had to throw in extras to make sure my customer experience is a positive one. Success was achieved!!!! I always come away from a Scott transaction with a smile on my face and gratitude in my heart. Thanks Scott.

Along with the Sears 95235 medium jack was an old Utica jack with tip bolsters, great blades and plenty of snap. And just in case I happened to dull my knife, he included a stone that's marked 10¢ so you know it's gotta be an old one.

This came in the mail the day we left for our Father's Day excursion.
I always like Trappers, this one was from my two oldest grandsons for Father's Day. They love to fish and living in Lawrenceville, they are close to the Bass Pro Shop on the northeast side of Atlanta, one of their favorite places according to their mother. All that to say, I'm not surprised by the shield on the Case 6254 they sent their ol' Granddaddy.

Something exotic and rare even in our country. The largest pocket knife produced in the USSR. Knife "Чабан" (shepherd knife), produced in the 1970s and 1980s at Machine-building Plant №1, Karaganda city, Kazakhstan. By comparison, I put your well-known knife Case TL29.

I went a little nutsy squirrelly this month but the final one came on Monday.

My second AW Wadsworth mini scout knife, this one is in great shape but my original is in even better. Found both of them for $10 each, they're out there. Very happy with this find.
