Very nice photos of that Queen, Charlie. The snow laced moss and rock make a good background. No snow in my garden, lots of frost. But instead of going out and getting some photos in the frost I have been sipping hot coffee by the fire.

A neighbor gave us a small piece from her garden a few years ago and we hung it in our mango tree. It seems to really like the humid climate here and grows prolifically. We now have enough to give starter pieces to other neighbors.

When I was a kid we called that stuff "spooky moss". Those old B&W horror movies with the full moon, fog, and Spanish moss in a dead quiet forest are still spooky even compared to the special effects of today. When you see that scene you just know there's something out there, lurking.

This knife is so industrial looking I thought an industrial backdrop might be appropriate and the RR tracks that border the woods seemed to fit the bill.

Can't decide if I captured Sasquach kindly feeding his feathered friends in the woods or if he's disguising himself as a tree in order to lure birds in to feed upon

Well, that winter storm activity has arrived! We have about four inches on the ground so far and it's still coming down. It's supposed to change to freezing rain later today. The forecasters are using words like CATASTROPHIC but it's just winter, no big deal.

Between the Sodbuster and that slick little black & blue liner lock, you seem to have things pretty well under control for dealing with whatever the weather throws at you

Clearly, the lack of a maker’s mark does not indicate a lack of quality. That Silver Falcon is a slick motor scooter!

Fresh out of fresh photo sites in my garden so I had to resort to balancing stunts with my Kershaw Leek this morning to get an interesting picture

I'm pretty much iced in where walks are concerned. If it hasn't been shoveled it's a 3 to 4 inch layer of solid ice on top of 6 to 10 inches of grainy snow. You could ice skate on it! Temps have been in the teens at night and low 20s during the day so it ain't gonna' melt any time soon. The streets and most sidewalks have been cleared and I'm getting too old to break trail so if we go out we just go around the block and then come in and thaw out.
