You guys are showing some mighty fine knives here.
Just got another LB5 and a 6OT.
The difference in the blade stamping compared to some others I have is interesting.

Congratulations DL. Did I understand correctly that you're working on getting the entire Rimfire Classic series?

Yes Sir. I now have every one but the LR 5. But it will come. But the LR 6 was the one I was wanting for sure. Thanks for remembering. 72's, one whole compartment in my brain is dedicated to those things!!!!!

Here's one you don't see everyday. A Hammer Brand 4 1/4" Toothpick with an image of a pheasant. Tang stamp chart says 1945-55. They called this pattern "The Sportsmaster Outdoor Knife".

I am happy with today's mail:
1. Buck 506 "White Knight" (AKA "Lady Buck") - this is a replacement for a knife I carried for many, many years and then suddenly lost. I loved that knife - and it was the loss of that knife that started my journey into buying old knives. I have been trying to replace my old 506 for a long time, so I'm really happy to again have one.
2. Camillus #21 Peanut. Nothing special about this HOK - I bid low and really didn't expect to win it.
3. Case 61087 These single blade serpentine jacks are becoming one of my favorite patterns. Basically, just a big peanut...

And before you could say "Jack Robinson", he had a small but growing collection of Case '87s.

Today I received this 1980 Queen #1W Hawkbill Pruner. This is about as different a knife from my normal purchases as you can get! I got this one pretty cheap, because there is a handle crack on the back side. But, the blade was so pretty that I was willing to forgive the crack. When I was a kid back on the farm, we had a drawer full of fixed blade pruning knives. We called them "grape knives" because they were used to harvest grapes in the vineyard.

I just rolled up to the house and lo and behold the mailman had left this Camillus 72 Mother lode.
It includes these two gals who have applied to become members of the First Gen 72 Chorus line.

Dang Greg, you didn't leave any for the rest of us!

Did they all come from one place? When you have time it would be neat to know the names on all of them. I can't quite figure them all out.
I've only got three 72's, the 1st one had one of the secondary blade broken and Jerryd took pity on me and graciously sent me a very nice 72. Last year I found a NIB yellow handle at the big flea market down in Webster.
That's a great pile!

Yes Phillip they all came from a single source and several are duplicates that I already had. I'll spread em out here in a bit and see just what's what. More pics will follow.

Great haul Greg. Couple of scarce ones there. I didn't know the Orvis came in a box. Very interesting. Did you already have an Orvis, Ole Smoky, Stanley, Rigid, McGrew and Remington? All take time to find except the Remington R14.
