ULSTER USA BSA Knife

I just saw this knife on ebay. Its an old Keen Kutter pen knife offered as a premium with a subscription to boys life magazine. It reminds me of the Hunter,Trader, Trapper Remington knife. It too was a premium for a subscription to their magazine. Most of the keen Kutter Boys life knifes I've seen are in bad shape, because the clear celluloid handles decomposed. This one is pretty nice. You don't see these very often. For $1.00 you could get a subscription to Boys Life and a knife with your name in the handle. I used to love to get Boys Life in the mail. I began my selling career (not very successful) by selling seeds offered through Boys Life Magazine. They sent the seeds. You paid for them and bought a assorted prizes or kept the cash. I always kept the cash!

I tried selling seeds too. All my Aunts and Uncles, and several neighbors bought some and then it got real tough selling any. Learned real quick I was'nt cut out to be a salesman.

Got these 2 in recently. ...first one was a gift from Ken.
The Girl Scout is a R4373....tipped leather punch but otherwise in great condition..
Super happy with both of these!!

Thanks Philco. I just feel a bit disappointed I didn't receive any Prince Albert with the knife.

Nice Remington's Johnnie, that 3335 is a dandy... ...the clip blade has to make that a rare pattern.

To answer your question on the Auto knife, there is no pattern number on it and all of the picture's I've seen show it without a bail.
I still think the long pull make's it a early production knife.

Hold on to that Ulster Old Timer scout/utility, find the Barlow and the stockman, then get you a nice Prince Albert can with the knife premium advertisement on it and you're set.
